39 scientists from many prestigious universities around the world
On May 17, the recruitment council of the Program to attract outstanding young scientists and leading scientists to work at Ho Chi Minh City National University, Phase 1, 2025 (VNU350 Program) approved the list of 39 qualified candidates to attend interviews at the units.
According to the recently announced list, the candidates are PhD graduates from many prestigious training institutions in the world such as Keio University (Japan), University of Virginia (USA), National University of Singapore (Singapore), RWTH Aachen University (Germany), University of Bologna (Italy), Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (Australia), Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (Germany), Sorbonne Paris Nord & CEA Saclay University (France).
The list also includes candidates who are scientists from many other prestigious universities in Korea, Taiwan, Canada, Hungary, Russia, Thailand and Denmark.
Among them, many young scientists and candidates have outstanding achievements in scientific research with dozens of prestigious international articles, such as Dr. Ho Hoang Phuoc (RWTH Aachen University - Germany and University of Bologna - Italy), Dr. Nguyen Thanh Nho (University of New Caledonia - France), Dr. Nguyen Kim Chung (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology - Australia), Dr. Mai Thanh Tam (Kyoto Institute of Technology - Japan), Dr. Truong Trung Kien (University of Texas at Austin - USA)...
The University of Technology has the largest number of candidates with 24 people, followed by the University of Natural Sciences with 11 candidates, the University of Economics and Law with 3 candidates and the University of Health Sciences with 1 candidate.

Ho Chi Minh City National University aims to recruit 350 scientists by 2030
Phase 1-2025, Ho Chi Minh City National University announced the recruitment of 101 positions to work at member and affiliated units under the VNU350 Program.
Notably, in this recruitment round, Ho Chi Minh City National University and its member schools announced "huge" salaries and attractive benefits for candidates, especially foreign scientists.
The VNU350 program aims to realize the vision of developing Ho Chi Minh City National University into a top research university system in Asia, a place where talents gather and spread Vietnamese knowledge and culture.

To date, after the first three recruitment rounds, Ho Chi Minh City National University has attracted 27 scientists, including 7 graduates from universities in the world's top 100.
