Many real-life experiences await visitors at Tay Ninh Day in Hanoi

A Tay Ninh with great potential to attract investment along with countless experiences imbued with its identity will be recreated on October 7-8, 2023, in the heart of the capital, during the Tay Ninh Day event in Hanoi . It is known that on October 7-8, the Tay Ninh Day event will take place in Hanoi at Hoan Kiem walking street. Could you please tell us the goal and significance of this event?

Held on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day, Tay Ninh Day in Hanoi is an important event for Hanoi and Tay Ninh province to further strengthen the relationship, promote economic , cultural and tourism development between the two provinces and cities.

This is the third time Tay Ninh province has organized Tay Ninh Day in Hanoi. With a series of cultural and artistic activities, tourism promotion conferences, photo exhibitions, and displays of agricultural, industrial and commercial products, tourism products and services, the event will contribute to introducing and promoting the image, homeland, people, unique features of Tay Ninh's history, culture and tourism to the people of Hanoi in particular, the people of the whole country and international tourists in general.

We also expect that this event will continuously open up the potentials, investment advantages, development of trade services, tourism products of Tay Ninh..., thereby creating an impression and opportunities for cooperation between businesses, in order to attract more investment to Tay Ninh.

How will the capital's people see an attractive Tay Ninh through this event, sir?

We hope to bring real experiences to visitors attending the event. Visiting the booths at the event site is like taking a tour to fully explore Tay Ninh right in the heart of Hanoi, with famous destinations such as Ba Den Mountain, Cao Dai Holy See, the Central Office of the Southern Region relics..., along with cultural, historical, spiritual, culinary characteristics... vividly recreated through large-scale art performances, unique art exhibitions and many booths displaying products and services. You will clearly feel a sacred, wild Tay Ninh with a unique cultural color.

On this occasion, we will introduce to the people of the capital the national intangible cultural heritages, which are the pride of Tay Ninh in particular and the Southern region in general. I believe that enjoying and interacting with the art of Don ca tai tu or Chhay-dam drum dance performed by artists in Tay Ninh and the Southern region, right in the heart of Hanoi, will be an extremely interesting practical experience for the people of the capital.

The event is also an opportunity for Hanoians and tourists from all over to explore the culinary specialties of Tay Ninh, with dishes recognized as national intangible cultural heritages such as sun-dried rice paper, shrimp salt... and specialties bearing the Tay Ninh brand such as bird's nest, custard apple...

So, with the goal of promoting tourism trade and attracting investment, how will Tay Ninh Day in Hanoi implement this plan, sir?

Within the framework of Tay Ninh Day in Hanoi, we will organize a Tourism Promotion Conference on October 8. This will be an opportunity to introduce the potential and advantages of Tay Ninh tourism, connecting tourism and trade businesses in Hanoi and Tay Ninh.

At the conference, there will also be a signing of cooperation agreements between travel and tourism businesses in Tay Ninh and Hanoi, proposing plans to connect and exploit the potential market in the North to bring tourists to Tay Ninh and signing trade agreements, expanding markets and commercial products between the two sides.

We hope that after this conference, Tay Ninh will continue to receive investment attention from many large enterprises with potential, heart and scope, to turn Tay Ninh into a new growth pole in the Southern region, reaching even more outstanding achievements.

In fact, despite its great potential and having attracted a large number of visitors, Tay Ninh is still not among the top tourist destinations in Vietnam. So, in your opinion, what are the limitations of Tay Ninh tourism and what solutions will the province propose in the coming time?

Regarding limitations, although currently rich in potential, the number of visitors to Tay Ninh is mainly pilgrimage to the Ba Pagoda system or the Cao Dai Holy See and visiting the Ba Den Mountain tourist area and some national historical sites. The target audience is mainly domestic visitors, international visitors are still relatively few, not commensurate with the potential of Tay Ninh tourism.

In terms of potential, Tay Ninh is a land with all the advantages to be able to develop many types of tourism such as Cultural - Festival Tourism; Agricultural tourism; Eco-tourism; Historical tourism; Tourism along the Vam Co Dong River... However, up to now, these advantages have not been exploited to their full extent.

Along with that, the system of tourism facilities such as high-quality accommodation, shopping malls, types of tourism that enhance the experience for tourists such as entertainment, theme parks, shopping, night entertainment areas... to increase the length of stay and spending of tourists, especially international visitors, is also limited and needs to be invested more strongly.

To overcome the above points, Tay Ninh strives that by 2025, Ba Den Mountain Tourist Area will meet national tourist area standards, becoming a regional-class tourist area, capable of attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists.

In particular, the Province will focus on attracting investment in tourism development, reviewing and simplifying administrative procedures to create favorable conditions for businesses with the most preferential policies; attracting investment in developing nighttime entertainment services, forming diverse and high-quality shopping and culinary centers, not only to increase the number of visitors but also to retain visitors to stay longer and spend more when coming to Tay Ninh.

The province will also create maximum convenience and support for innovative businesses; encourage large enterprises to invest and play the role of "locomotive" for the development of innovative startups.

In addition, the Province will also synchronously implement many solutions such as diversifying tourist markets, applying information technology to tourism promotion, and promoting destination communication more widely.

With the above solutions, we expect that by 2030, tourism will become a key economic sector, contributing over 10% of GRDP, strongly promoting the development of other sectors and fields./.
