Nhu Thanh replicates the model of youth economic development

Up to now, there have been many new models with good and creative ways of doing things, enriching themselves, their families and society.

Mr. Nguyen Danh Hoang, in Mau Lam commune, is one of the typical youth union members in the movement of starting a business, developing the economy and inspiring and helping other union members escape poverty in the locality. Mr. Hoang shared: “In 2004, after graduating from university, I decided to stay in Hanoi to work. However, the small salary was not enough for me to cover my living expenses. In 2016, I decided to return to my hometown to start a business. Through youth union programs, I was able to visit and learn about farming and livestock farming experiences at a number of highly effective farm models in localities in the province; at the same time, I was able to access a loan from the district Social Policy Bank with an amount of 100 million VND. After that, I boldly borrowed more capital from my brothers and friends to buy back land from local people with an area of ​​8 hectares (in Phuong Nghi commune) to invest in building a comprehensive farm model for raising chickens, pigs, and digging ponds to raise fish. During the breeding process, thanks to the experience learned and always following the techniques, regularly cleaning the barns to limit the outbreak of diseases, the livestock has developed well and is increasingly expanding. Up to now, the farm My family's farm always has over 2,000 broiler chickens, 1,800 egg-laying chickens; 50 grapefruit trees, 150 dragon fruit pillars, 6 hectares of acacia trees. In addition, I also grow 1,000m2 of vegetables in a greenhouse according to VietGAP standards to supply to boarding schools in the district. After deducting expenses, my family earns over 300 million VND in profit each year, creating jobs for 3 regular workers and 7 seasonal workers, with a salary of 7 million VND/person/month."

Nearly 6 years ago, after completing his police duty, returning to his hometown, applying his knowledge and experience in the agricultural sector acquired at university and during his internship in Israel, Mr. Cao Van Ngoc in Tan Long village, Yen Lac commune boldly established an agricultural service cooperative. In the early days of starting his business, he always received attention and encouragement from leaders at all levels; at the same time, he was given favorable conditions to borrow capital to invest and develop production. The cooperative currently has 2 seated transplanters, 2 harvesters, 4 hand transplanters, fertilizer presses... with a total value of over 2 billion VND. Up to now, the cooperative has a wide customer network in many communes in the district and many northern provinces; average revenue is about 450 million VND/year; creating stable jobs for many local workers.

In order to form highly effective economic models, in recent times, Nhu Thanh District Youth Union has actively accompanied union members and young people in starting businesses and establishing businesses. The district Youth Union has also strengthened coordination with functional units of the district and province to open training courses on starting businesses and establishing businesses; inviting lecturers from departments, branches, and typical start-up enterprises to exchange ideas and good practices with union members and young people in the district. Along with that, organizing union members and young people to visit economic models, exchange and learn experiences from effective production models in and outside the province. Building models of clubs, teams, and youth groups to share experiences and help each other develop the economy. In the district, 14 clubs have been established with more than 190 members who are young people developing the economy. In which, club members are always ready to support each other in terms of capital, technology, breeds, etc. to develop together.

In addition, the work of reviewing the demand for loans for economic development and start-ups among union members and young people has also been strongly directed by the Nhu Thanh District Union. In 2024 and the first 5 months of 2025, the District Union coordinated with the District Social Policy Bank to appraise and award preferential capital to support youth start-ups to over 20 union members and young people with economic development models with an amount of nearly 2 billion VND. To date, the total capital managed by the union is more than 100 billion VND.

With the spirit of daring to think and daring to do, currently in Nhu Thanh district there are more than 70 economic development models owned by young people; each year these models generate income of 100 million VND or more. These models have been actively contributing to the development of the locality and helping to encourage and motivate the spirit of entrepreneurship and legitimate enrichment among union members and young people.
