President Ho Chi Minh was born on May 19, 1890, into a patriotic Confucian family in Hoang Tru village, Chung Cu commune, Lam Thinh canton (now Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province). He sacrificed his whole life for the country and the people, his name and career will forever remain with the country and live forever in the hearts of each of us.
During these historic days, every Vietnamese citizen remembers the birthday of beloved Uncle Ho on May 19. From preschool children, students, veterans, and socio -political organizations in Pleiku City, they visited, paid their respects, and reported to Uncle Ho at the Gia Lai Provincial Museum on the occasion of the 133rd anniversary of his birthday with respect, gratitude, and sincerity.
This is not only an annual activity but also a respectful, sacred, and deep sentiment of every Vietnamese person in general, and Gia Lai in particular, towards the beloved Father of the Vietnamese nation. In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the stream of people visiting the Museum attentively listened to the tour guide introduce the artifacts that Uncle Ho used. Teacher Nguyen Thi Quynh - Primary School Teacher, Asia Pacific International School Gia Lai expressed: "Every image and story about Uncle Ho always moves me. Through the artifacts displayed at the Museum, we want the children to understand more about his great contributions, about the great leader of the nation".
In addition to organizing activities to visit, pay respects and commemorate Uncle Ho, socio-political organizations also held a ceremony to report their achievements to Uncle Ho, visit and learn about the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh. Visiting and studying at the Museum, new soldier in 2023, Nguyen Quang Tung (Battalion 1, Brigade 234, Corps 3) shared: After visiting the Museum, I was introduced to each photo, priceless historical documents about Uncle Ho, about his moral example, as well as his noble personality and sacrifice. Although the visit was short, it helped us soldiers better understand the history of the nation, about the Father who sacrificed his whole life for the country. From there, we further enhanced our national pride, determination to train ourselves, and work actively to bring high work efficiency, contributing to bringing Vietnam "on par with the world powers" as Uncle Ho advised.

Practically celebrate the 48th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2023), the 133rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2023). Gia Lai Provincial Museum organizes a thematic exhibition "Ho Chi Minh - Portrait of a man" with nearly 200 documents and images. The exhibition introduces the life, career and personality of President Ho Chi Minh, the great leader who devoted his whole life to the revolutionary cause of the nation. The exhibition takes place from April 25 to May 20, 2023, attracting the attention of tourists and people of the mountain town of Pleiku.
