According to official dispatch 2389/BVHTTDL-DSVH sent by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST) to the People's Committee of Hue City, the Ministry of Culture agreed to propose the establishment of a Scientific Council to assess the status and propose a plan to preserve and restore the national treasure, the Nguyen Dynasty throne.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposed that a leader of the Hue City People's Committee take on the role of Chairman of the council, other members of the council, and the Ministry agree on the list of proposals from Hue City.


In addition, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also sent 3 more experts to join the council, including: Mr. Pham Dinh Phong - Deputy Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage, Dr. Nguyen Van Doan - Director of the National Museum of History, Member of the National Cultural Heritage Council and Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong Thom - Head of the Preservation Department of the National Museum of History.
On May 28, the People's Committee of Hue City sent a document to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism asking for opinions on establishing a national council to assess the extent of damage and restore the Nguyen Dynasty Throne treasure.
Accordingly, Hue City proposed to invite experts who are representatives of cultural management agencies, research experts, and antique restoration experts in Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City and Hue to participate, with an expected number of 11 people.
The scientific council will assess the extent of damage, analyze and propose methods to restore the national treasure, the Nguyen Dynasty Throne, as well as make recommendations and solutions for regular protection and preservation.

After the plan is approved, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center will carry out the restoration and rehabilitation of the treasure with the participation of artisans and under the close supervision of the council.
The national treasure, the Nguyen Dynasty throne, was damaged and the armrest (left) was broken by Ho Van Phuong Tam on May 24. After the incident, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center and related units implemented urgent solutions to ensure the safety of the relic, national treasures and valuable artifacts that this unit is preserving and displaying.
