On the evening of April 5, at Thong Nhat Park (Hai Ba Trung District), the French Embassy in coordination with the Hanoi People's Committee opened the 2024 French Food Festival "Balade En France".
With nearly 80 booths, event participants will have the opportunity to enjoy famous French cuisine at uniquely decorated stalls, along with many French agricultural and food specialties from famous, long-standing French restaurants such as La Table Hanoia, Metropole... Along with that, there will also be tasting activities and performances by chefs.
Balade En France French Food Festival is an annual program organized by the French Embassy and Hanoi every two years, and was held for the first time in 2018.
When it comes to French cuisine, it is impossible not to mention the lovely cakes with special flavors. Attending the event, diners were introduced and served typical cakes such as Opera, Macarons, Croissant, Croissants, bread with butter and cold cuts...
Mr. Tran Duy Thang (Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi) shared: "The bread here is made with Le Beurre Bordier handmade butter, known as the best butter in the world, famous for its smooth texture. I don't know how to describe the flavor, but it's very unique, attractive, and delicious."
In addition, diners were also very excited to be invited to taste agricultural products from localities across France. The shiny, smooth red apples were imported directly from France. True to its name, Candine, this apple variety has moderate sweetness and crispness, seemingly inheriting and blending Fuji and Ariane apples. Not only that, a variety of butter, milk, cold cuts, chocolate, coffee, etc. were also brought to serve people at the festival.
Coming to experience the French Food Festival event in 2024, Vu Quynh Trang - Hot tik toker Miss Sidewalk excitedly said: "I myself am a person who is very interested in French cuisine, experiencing making apple cake with Chef and then enjoying it right at the booth is very interesting, the cake flavor is wonderful. In addition to food, I also experienced body care products from France. I find this event very useful because it contributes to promoting French culture, this is also an opportunity for Vietnamese people to learn about French cuisine, cultural exchange between the two countries".
