After 50 years of liberation, Binh Dinh province has gradually grown and developed in all aspects, gradually becoming one of the socio -economic development centers of the key economic region of the Central region and the whole country.
1. After 28 days and nights, from March 4 to 31, 1975, under the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee and in coordination with Division 3, the army and people of Binh Dinh continuously attacked, defeated, destroyed and disintegrated the entire puppet government and army from the commune to the province, completely liberating all localities in the province.

As a result, we captured more than 20,000 guns of various types, including 47 heavy artillery pieces, 40 aircraft (including 20 jet aircraft), 200 military vehicles (including 16 tanks and armored vehicles); eliminated more than 72,000 puppet soldiers from combat; disintegrated the 22nd Division, a tank and armored vehicle regiment, 6 artillery battalions, 1 air regiment; 20 puppet local battalions, 25 security, commando and police companies; 6 companies, 420 militia platoons, and participants, and the civil defense were completely disintegrated; we forced the withdrawal and surrender of 469 posts, of which 180 posts were directly attacked by the people's mass forces.
Immediately after liberating the entire province, the Provincial Party Committee led the forces to immediately mobilize the local military and people to urgently and actively contribute human and material resources to serve the Ho Chi Minh Campaign to liberate Saigon and completely liberate the South.
Hundreds of young men in the province enthusiastically set out to join the 3rd Division and march straight to the southern front. Quy Nhon Port welcomed dozens of ships carrying units of the II Corps. Hundreds of military vehicles, trucks, vans and thousands of tons of food, provisions, and fuel were mobilized in time to supply the II Corps on its rapid march to the South.
Binh Dinh became the direct rear of the battlefield in South Vietnam, supporting campaigns to develop the strategic offensive of our army and people, contributing to the complete liberation of the South and the reunification of the country on April 30, 1975.
2. Promoting the spirit of the great victory in the spring of 1975, after the country's reunification, implementing the Politburo's Decision on abolishing zones and merging provinces, from November 1975 to July 1989, was the period when Binh Dinh and Quang Ngai merged into Nghia Binh province.

In the first 10 years (1975-1985), the key task of the Nghia Binh Provincial Party Committee was to continue to lead the overcoming of war consequences, carry out socialist transformation of non-socialist economic sectors, and build the material and technical foundations of socialism in Binh Dinh and Quang Ngai. After three years (1986-1989), implementing the Party's renovation policy, in the upward transition, the province's socio-economic situation achieved important achievements.
The next 40 years (1989-2024) is the period when the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee was re-established. The Binh Dinh Party Committee always takes Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought as the ideological foundation, leading the implementation of the Party's innovation policy, overcoming difficulties and challenges, achieving achievements in socio-economic development, national defense and security, Party building and political system building. That is:
Over 40 years of implementing the renovation process, from 1986 to present, through 8 congresses, the Provincial Party Committee has steadfastly implemented the Platform for national construction in the transitional period to socialism, the theory of socialism and the path to socialism have been gradually realized in Binh Dinh.
Since the re-establishment of the province (July 1989) up to now, the Provincial Party Committee has promptly issued policies and decisions that are accurate and suitable to local realities to lead and direct Party committees, authorities and people in the province to gradually push back poverty and backwardness; exploit the potential, advantages and resources of the province; promote the cause of innovation, industrialization and modernization, achieving many comprehensive and outstanding results.
Provincial authorities at all levels have continuously consolidated and improved their organizational structure and implemented staff streamlining; reorganizing commune-level administrative units. Organizing training to improve qualifications and capacity, especially skills in applying information technology and digital transformation for officials and civil servants. Administrative reform, public service implementation and public ethics have been promoted, along with solutions to improve the rankings of the province's PAPI, PCI, PAR Index and SIPAS indicators; continuously improving people's satisfaction, creating a favorable business environment for enterprises in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner.
After the victory of Binh Dinh, the provincial Party Committee has led a poor province with backward material and technical facilities, economic and social infrastructure, and difficult and deprived people's lives; to date, Binh Dinh has risen to become a developed province.
Binh Dinh has built and focused on leadership and persistent direction to organize the implementation of 5 growth pillars and 3 breakthroughs to develop the province's economy. As a result of 5 years of implementing the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, the province's economy has achieved many encouraging achievements, the scale of the province's economy from 7th place out of 14 localities in the North Central and Central Coast regions at the beginning of the term, by the end of 2024 it had risen to 5th place out of 14 localities and is currently ranked 25th out of 63 localities nationwide; budget revenue in 2024 reached over 16,000 billion VND, exceeding the target set by the Resolution. Gross regional domestic product (GRDP) increased by 7.78%; ranked 26th out of 63 localities nationwide, 6th out of 14 localities in the North Central and Central Coast regions and 2nd out of 5 localities in the Central Central sub-region.
The Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee identifies economic growth as the fundamental driving force for social progress and equity. Up to now, people's social security has been ensured, employment has been created, poverty reduction has been sustained, and social issues have continued to receive attention and direction, and people's cultural, information - communication, physical education and sports life has been increasingly improved. The poverty rate in the province in 2024 is 1.01%, down 2.12% over the same period, lower than the national average (1.93%).
Education has been innovated, quality has been improved, and it is among the leading groups in the Central Coast and Central Highlands regions; the rate of people participating in health insurance has reached 96.13%. Science - technology, environmental protection and climate change response of the province have now become the driving force for the province's development, the startup ecosystem, and the spirit of entrepreneurship through innovation and creativity have been strongly promoted. Quy Hoa Science Urban Area with the core of the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education has become a trusted destination for domestic and foreign scientists; the Center for Artificial Intelligence - Auxiliary Urban has been gradually formed.
Achievements after 50 years of liberation, Binh Dinh has built a national defense foundation associated with the people's security posture, built a solid provincial defense area; the cooperative relationship between the province and organizations, localities in the country, in the region and in the world has achieved many results. Activities to promote investment, especially foreign investment, expand the market, cultural exchange, cooperation in training, human resource development, promote the image of the land, culture and people of Binh Dinh have been enhanced.
3. The great and historic achievements of the revolutionary cause led by the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee over the past 50 years are the crystallization of creativity and the result of a process of continuous and persistent efforts over many terms of the entire Party Committee, the army and people of Binh Dinh.

In the coming time, the Party Committee of Binh Dinh province will continue to implement the programs, plans, conclusions and regulations of the Central Committee on socio-economic development, streamlining the apparatus, especially the work of organizing and building the Party and the political system; determined to successfully implement the resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels, striving to build Binh Dinh into one of the centers of socio-economic development of the key economic region of the Central region and the whole country, entering a new era - the era of national development.
