Ninh Giang no longer has any veterans with dilapidated houses.

The Ninh Giang District Veterans Association presented money to support the construction of a house for the family of member Nguyen Van Khe in Kien Phuc commune.

According to the representative of the Ninh Giang District Veterans Association, there are currently no members with dilapidated houses in the district. This is the first locality in the province to complete the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses for veteran members.

Specifically, from 2023 to present, the Veterans Association at all levels in the province has supported the construction and repair of 41 houses for members with a total amount of more than 3.2 billion VND. Of which, the Veterans Association of Ninh Giang district supported the construction and repair of 27 houses with a value of nearly 900 million VND.

The members who received support to build and repair houses are all veterans in difficult circumstances, including 13 poor households and 3 near-poor households.

The Ninh Giang District Veterans Association is the first unit in the province to launch a movement to eliminate dilapidated houses for its members, attracting more than 10,000 veteran officials and members to participate. Many members donated large sums of money, especially veteran businessmen. In addition to monetary and in-kind donations, the grassroots Veterans Association also mobilized officials and members to donate more than 800 working days to dismantle, transport materials, dig and build house foundations, etc.
