Ninh Thuan promotes and introduces potential for cooperation and investment in the Netherlands
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ninh Thuan province and the Netherlands - Vietnam Agribusiness Cooperation Association (Netherlands) signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of cultivation.

Speaking at the Seminar on Introducing the Potential and Investment Attraction Policies of Localities in the Netherlands (part of the Program to Promote Vietnamese Localities in the Netherlands and Germany, from June 16 to 24, 2024), Mr. Nguyen Long Bien, Vice Chairman of Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee said that the locality has climate and natural characteristics that are favorable conditions for developing renewable energy, marine economy , tourism, high-tech agriculture, aquaculture, seafood exploitation, large-scale industrial salt production, deep-water ports, coastal industrial development, logistics, etc.
In particular, although the climate is dry, it has allowed Ninh Thuan to develop specific crops and livestock with high productivity and quality, and can be produced all year round. Specifically, grapes with a stable annual output of 60,000 - 65,000 tons and other products such as aloe vera, asparagus, livestock meat (beef, goat, sheep) ...
Mr. Bien said that the Netherlands – Vietnam Agricultural Business Cooperation Association is a cooperative organization between enterprises, research institutes, and government organizations of the Netherlands and Vietnam in the field of cultivation. These are fields that are very suitable for the needs and investment attraction orientation of Ninh Thuan province.
“We respectfully invite the Vietnam - Netherlands Agricultural Business Cooperation Association and its partners to visit and work in Ninh Thuan province, so that we can meet, exchange and learn more specific information, discuss plans to promote the potential and strengths of mutual interest in the coming time,” Mr. Bien said at the seminar.
According to the Vice Chairman of Ninh Thuan province, this aims to strengthen cooperation and attract investment in the agricultural sector; at the same time, the province wishes to receive and transfer production and processing projects applying advanced science and technology, building a green, clean, sustainable agriculture, increasing productivity, product value, creating jobs, and raising income...
The Vice Chairman of Ninh Thuan province also requested the Vietnamese Embassy in the Netherlands to pay attention to supporting and acting as a bridge to promote the image, potential and advantages of Ninh Thuan province to Dutch investors and businesses.
“We are committed to creating the most favorable conditions for Dutch investors and businesses in the process of research, survey, investment connection and enjoying the highest investment incentives within the scope of regulations of the Vietnamese State,” Mr. Bien mentioned.

At the seminar, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ninh Thuan province and the Netherlands-Vietnam Agribusiness Cooperation Association (Netherlands) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU). The purpose is to establish a partnership to promote cooperation between the two sides, and at the same time create many opportunities for cooperation in the field of cultivation through conferences, seminars, and discussions to assess the feasibility of ideas as well as introduce localities and businesses of both sides.
The Memorandum of Understanding includes five phases of cooperation, including understanding the local farming situation; clarifying the goals and interests of the parties; agreeing on the direction of cooperation; shaping solutions and implementing and evaluating the cooperation.

According to the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province, up to now, the province has 39 foreign investment projects with a total investment capital of 1,107.64 million USD; including 1 direct investment project of a Dutch enterprise (Diageo Vietnam Company Limited Project with a total investment capital of 43 million USD).
In 2023, Ninh Thuan's export turnover to the Dutch market reached 85.05 thousand USD; the main export product is shrimp.
