On May 15, 2025, the first new energy vehicle model of the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture, the N7, surpassed the 10,000-order mark after only 18 days of its launch. Thus, the new Nissan N7 2025 has become the fastest pure electric vehicle of a joint venture in China to reach this milestone to date.

Also on the same day, Dongfeng-Nissan held a handover ceremony for the first batch of vehicles to customers at the joint venture’s New Energy Brand Experience Center in Shanghai. The joint venture’s leadership was present and personally handed over keys and personalized gift boxes to the first 35 car owners.

The event marks the start of deliveries across China. Since its launch on April 27, the Nissan N7 has quickly become the choice of ordinary families.

With a variety of convenient features and competitive prices, this model is especially attractive to young consumers. About 70% of buyers are young customers buying a car for the first time or switching from another brand. Meanwhile, the remaining 30% are loyal Nissan customers, upgrading from older models.

Responding to concerns about delivery times, Mr. Zhou Feng, Deputy General Manager of Dongfeng-Nissan, said: “Since its launch, the number of orders has far exceeded expectations! We are constantly optimizing the production process, improving efficiency, coordinating resources to rapidly increase capacity, and striving to deliver the N7 to users in the shortest possible time.”

As reported, the Nissan N7 is the commercial version of the Epoch concept car that was first introduced exactly 1 year ago. Belonging to the D-class sedan segment, this car has dimensions of length x width x height of 4,930 x 1,895 x 1,487 mm and a wheelbase of 2,915 mm.

On the outside, the Nissan N7 is designed with a focus on aerodynamics to optimize the operating range after charging the battery. Thanks to that, the car has an air drag coefficient of only 0.208 Cd. "Gain this, lose that", the exterior design of the N7 is quite bland among the forest of electric cars in the Chinese market.

This electric car model has a strip of LED daytime running lights across the front of the car, LED headlights in the shape of the number 7, hidden door handles, quite large windows and a set of multi-spoke alloy wheels, 2-tone scratched. At the rear, the Nissan N7 is equipped with LED taillights connected on both sides and has a fairly thin design. Similar to the front bumper, the rear bumper of the car also has a glossy black cover.

Similar to the exterior, the interior of the Nissan N7 is also nothing special or surprising to users. Following the current popular trend, the car is equipped with a 15.6-inch central touch screen with 2.5K resolution and a digital dashboard. With a large infotainment screen, the Nissan N7 does not have many physical buttons.

The front seats are zero-gravity, equipped with an AI-based posture adjustment system that uses data from 49 sensors and has a 12-point massage function. In addition, the car also has a mini-fridge hidden under the armrest that can cool drinks to -6°C or heat them up to 55°C.

The "heart" of the Nissan N7 is an electric motor with a maximum capacity ranging from 215 - 268 horsepower. In addition, there are two battery options with a capacity of 58 kWh and 73 kWh. The larger battery allows the car to travel 635 km after a full charge based on China's CLTC standard. In the Chinese market, the Nissan N7 has a starting price of 119,900 yuan (about 419 million VND).
