Efforts to complete the issuance of electronic identification accounts for citizens

Implementing the Government 's Project 06 on "developing applications of population data, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period of 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030", in recent times, La Ngau commune as well as other localities in Tanh Linh district have promoted propaganda and implemented many solutions to bring this important project to the people, especially ethnic minorities.

Up to this point, all communes and towns of Tanh Linh district have exceeded the target of issuing electronic identification accounts to citizens, except for La Ngau commune, a commune with a pure ethnic minority population, which still faces many difficulties.

Captain Pham Tran Tinh - Head of La Ngau Commune Police shared: With the characteristics of a commune with a purely ethnic minority population with a low level of education, and people's electronic devices are not yet qualified, access to and implementation of online public services is still limited. Many citizens do not yet understand the benefits and conveniences of online public services, and still have the habit of going directly to agencies to carry out administrative procedures. Therefore, one of the important contents in implementing Project 06 identified by the commune Party Committee and government is the deployment of population data, issuance of CCCD, and personal identification codes as the foundation for deploying online public services. Therefore, during the implementation process, the commune Party Committee and government directed departments, branches, and unions, together with the commune Police force, to focus on propaganda work in many forms. Propaganda on the loudspeaker system, the Facebook page "Que huong La Ngau", propaganda by mobile loudspeakers... about the purpose, meaning, content, process, benefits, importance of CCCD cards and electronic identification accounts so that people can raise awareness and voluntarily register for implementation. At the same time, actively deploy the issuance of electronic identification accounts for people. Regardless of day or night, the commune police force has implemented the issuance of CCCDs, issuance of electronic identification accounts in general and during the peak period in particular. Thanks to that, out of 2,163 citizens from 14 years old and eligible for CCCD, the locality has completed the issuance of CCCDs, reaching 100%. Regarding the issuance of electronic identification accounts, 1,046/2,163 have been issued, reaching 48.3%; 109 electronic identification accounts have been activated. Despite many efforts, in the process of implementing La Ngau, there are still many difficulties such as: People do not have enough ability to equip themselves with smart phones to register and use the system. The reception of propaganda information among people is also limited. People have not updated in a timely manner the digital transformation as well as the development of residential applications and electronic identification authentication.

Faced with such difficulties, but with the spirit of "Dedicated service to the people", the La Ngau Commune Police force always upholds the spirit of solidarity, actively shares and supports each other, continues to "go to every alley, knock on every door" to strive to complete the task assigned by superiors to issue electronic identification to the people within the prescribed time.
