
Dai Loc Commune People's Committee informed that there are 15,541 households in the area, of which 13,986 households (about 90%) were flooded 1-2m deep, with 33 villages completely isolated for many days.
The entire transport infrastructure, electricity and water systems and many production areas were paralyzed. Many households and goods were swept away or severely damaged.
Immediately after the flood receded, the commune government urgently directed departments, branches, organizations and villages to conduct statistics and summarize the damage to people, property, trees, crops, and at the same time mobilized forces to support people in cleaning up mud, cleaning the environment, and clearing the flow.
According to records at DT609 route, Quang Hue village, many grocery stores, small supermarkets and retail systems such as Bach Hoa Xanh, WinMart... have started cleaning up, taking inventory of goods, and declaring damages.
A WinMart store employee shared: “The floodwaters were high, all the goods were wet and damaged, we had to throw away almost all the old shipment. Today, the brothers in the store together cleaned up, took inventory of the damage to import new goods, hoping to reopen soon to serve the people in the area.”

Mr. Le Do Tuan Khuong, Chairman of Dai Loc Commune People's Committee, said the extent of damage to the locality was very large.
“Currently, the commune is focusing on guiding people to declare their assets and coordinating with organizations and businesses to provide initial support so that people can soon stabilize.
For flooded shops and businesses, we encourage, visit and create conditions for them to restore operations. At the same time, the commune also directed to strengthen food safety inspections to avoid moldy and damaged goods returning to the market, affecting consumers' health," said Mr. Khuong.
In Nong Son commune, Mr. NVT, owner of an electrical appliance store, said: “When the floodwaters rose so quickly, I didn’t have time to raise the furniture, and almost all the TVs and refrigerators were flooded. The damage was huge. After the water receded, my fellow workers and I cleaned up, wiped down the furniture, and repaired whatever we could to maintain business.”
Similarly, in Duy Xuyen commune, Mr. NNP, owner of a store specializing in PVC and PEHD pipes and household electrical and water equipment, and his staff washed the mud and cleaned the shelves.
Mr. P. shared: “All the goods were flooded, but we couldn’t stop. Because the goods are plastic, we can still wash them, dry them, and rearrange them. My staff and I cleaned up, imported new goods, and reopened the store to keep our regular customers and regain our spirits after the flood.”
In An Thang ward, the atmosphere of buying and selling has gradually become lively again. Thanh Quyt market area was deeply flooded, goods were swept away, now the traders are busy cleaning up, soon doing business to serve the increasing consumption needs of the people.
Mr. Trinh Xuan Thanh, owner of a fruit shop on Road 7, said that thanks to the timely support of local authorities, businesses have proactively stabilized their business to welcome the new days after the flood.
Mr. Huynh Duc Nghia, Vice Chairman of An Thang Ward People's Committee, said that the recent flood has flooded 90% of the area with 17/17 blocks in the area, more than 7,600 households had water in their houses from 0.2 to 3.1m, many roads and residential areas were flooded from 3-5m deep, cutting off traffic.
