Efforts to carry out economic development tasks

In the first months of the year, although the province's economic recovery has not met expectations, there have been some positive signs. In order to strive to achieve the 2025 growth target of 8%, all levels, sectors and localities are focusing on proactive and flexible management, adapting to all situations to maintain economic stability, enhance internal capacity, autonomy and competitiveness.

Bright spot in investment attraction

Implementing the 2025 Investment Promotion Program, all levels, sectors and localities in the province have made breakthroughs in attracting investors and businesses in the province. Investment attraction has been focused on implementing in many forms, proactively approaching partners and major investors to promote and call for investment.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuc, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance, said: The province actively supports investors in accessing investment research such as Hoa Phat Group, Becamex Group... In addition, the Provincial People's Committee has approved investment policies and granted investment certificates to 9 projects with a total registered capital of over VND 6,997 billion (an increase of more than VND 4,654 billion over the same period); at the same time, adjusted the investment policies of 23 non-budget projects.

In particular, recently, the province has granted investment policies for two major projects in the Nam Phu Yen Economic Zone, namely the Phu Yen High-Tech Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Business Project and the Hoa Tam Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Business Project - Phase 1. These are two projects that will create development momentum and spillover effects for the locality in the coming time.

At the same time, the province has increased the introduction and promotion of its image to international friends; organized many investment promotion delegations in large, potential areas such as the UAE, Europe, etc. Most recently, the provincial delegation led by Mr. Le Tan Ho, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, participated in the Program to promote Vietnamese localities in the Czech Republic, the Kingdom of Belgium and the Swiss Confederation; organized by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy (Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

At the places he visited, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Tan Ho gave an overview of Phu Yen's potential, strengths and sustainable development orientation. He also expressed his desire to connect with businesses from other countries in cooperation in developing areas that Phu Yen is calling for investment in, such as industry, renewable energy, seaports, high-tech agriculture, etc.

Effective implementation of solutions

At the recent regular meeting of the Provincial People's Committee, Comrade Ho Thi Nguyen Thao, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, stated that the economy is still facing many risks and unpredictable fluctuations. The increase in difficulties and challenges is also an opportunity and motivation for the entire political system, businesses and people to be determined to promote and effectively implement reforms and tasks and solutions for socio-economic development according to the set goals.

In parallel with the implementation of tasks related to the arrangement of administrative units at the commune and provincial levels, all levels, sectors and localities need to focus on performing professional tasks and continue to mobilize resources for socio-economic development. In particular, strengthening administrative reform and digital transformation; creating favorable conditions for people and businesses to access digital government and e-government.

To implement the planned targets, Mr. Tran Xuan Tuc, Director of the Department of Construction, said: The unit is coordinating to organize, appraise, and approve construction plans and urban plans according to the plan. At the same time, it is publishing information on the situation of housing projects and the real estate market, construction plans, etc. Recently, the unit has also publicly disclosed information on 2 social housing projects that have been approved by the Provincial People's Committee for investment in the An Phu Commune Social Housing Area (2,270 units) and the Social Housing Area North of Tran Phu Street (480 units) so that people can promptly grasp. The unit strives to complete the assigned social housing targets in 2025.

Meanwhile, according to Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuc, in order to contribute to improving national competitiveness in 2025, creating an increasingly transparent local business and investment environment, attracting the attention of many economic sectors, the Department of Finance promotes the implementation of interconnection regulations, coordination in handling administrative procedures in business registration, shortening the time to handle administrative procedures in the field of business registration. The department's specialized departments and offices improve the quality of business support services in digital transformation, market expansion, human resource development, and legal affairs. At the same time, continue to create favorable conditions for investors to be granted investment policies/investment certificates, memorandums of understanding; support investors to promptly complete investment procedures according to regulations to implement projects.
