On the evening of May 19, the political art program " He is the belief in certain victory " was held to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), aiming to deeply spread the respectful and sacred feelings of the people of the whole country towards him.

In the quiet atmosphere of the program, People's Artist Pham Phuong Thao sang the songs Listening to the boat singing at night, remembering Uncle Ho, and Uncle Ho's sandals.
This is not the first time Pham Phuong Thao has sung "Night Listening to the Boat and Missing Uncle Ho" but each time the female singer still retains the same feelings of respect and emotion.
With Uncle Ho's Sandals, People's Artist Pham Phuong Thao was not only moved by the simple image of Uncle Ho, but also deeply touched by the real details: The rubber sandals that Uncle Ho wore for 11 years, came from a French military vehicle that was ambushed by us in Viet Bac. Many times, the security officers asked Uncle Ho to change his sandals, but he just smiled gently: "I can still wear them."
After the show, the female singer shared on her personal page: "Singing about Uncle Ho, I sing with all my heart. Whether I am a singer or just a child of Vietnam, every time I sing about Uncle Ho, I feel like I am returning to the most sacred things."
In addition to People's Artist Pham Phuong Thao, the program also has the participation of artists such as: Meritorious Artist Lan Anh, Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi, and artists Truong Linh, Do To Hoa, Moc An...
Meritorious Artist Lan Anh is graceful and full of spirit in The Song in the Pac Bo Forest, Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi is emotional in The Footprints in the Front , and solemn in Ho Chi Minh, the most beautiful name...
Under the arrangement of musician Thanh Vuong, familiar songs are renewed with a youthful, modern musical spirit, but still retain pure Vietnamese folk material - rustic, profound and close.

Before that, the program opened with the famous symphony " The One Who Returns Brings Joy " composed by musician Trong Bang in 1990 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday.
The song is written in the form of a Sonata in F major. This is one of the most typical and successful instrumental pieces written about Uncle Ho, expressing the overwhelming joy of the nation when he returned to lead the revolution.
Continuing the artistic journey are works associated with each milestone in Uncle Ho's life, from his childhood in Lang Sen, the day he left Ben Nha Rong to find a way to save the country, the years of "rice porridge with bamboo shoots and vegetables" in Pac Bo, to Hanoi - where he lived the last years of his life.
Melodies such as: Uncle Ho, an immense love (Thuan Yen), Flowers in Uncle Ho's garden (Van Dung), Songs dedicated to Uncle Ho (Trong Loan), You are the belief in certain victory (Chu Minh)... not only tell about him, but also represent the hearts of millions of people sent to the beloved father of the nation.

Interspersed between the musical performances are special reports, recounting the circumstances of the birth of many famous songs written about Uncle Ho.
Among them, "Praise to President Ho Chi Minh" is the only work that musician Van Cao wrote specifically for President Ho Chi Minh, and he introduced it on the occasion of his birthday in 1949. Immediately after its release, the song was widely loved and is still considered one of the best and most touching songs written about him.
The melody and opening lyrics of the song "Praise to President Ho" were inspired by musician Van Cao from an unforgettable moment: the image of Uncle Ho reading the Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square, September 2, 1945.
At that time, musician Van Cao stood right under the stage, in the role of a Viet Minh member, joining tens of thousands of compatriots across the country to listen to his deep, clear voice resounding in the historical autumn sky.
Mr. Van Thao - son of musician Van Cao - shared that in this song, his father capitalized the word "People" every time he mentioned Uncle Ho.
Since then, the term "He" has spread, becoming a sacred and respectful title that the people reserved for President Ho Chi Minh. When talking about Him, we are talking about Uncle Ho. This term both shows absolute respect and expresses the closeness and love that the people always have for the great leader - the father of the nation.

The audience attentively watched and immersed themselves in the musical space of "You are the belief in victory". The program was produced by Hanoi Radio and Television, broadcast live on channel H1 and the station's digital platforms, along with many media agencies across the country (Photo: Organizing Committee).
One of the most touching and proud reports in the program is the Ho Chi Minh Ballad , which recounts a little-known historical moment that took place on the night of May 7, 1954, when the resounding Dien Bien Phu victory shocked the world.
At the Workers' Club in South London (England), musician Ewan MacColl - a famous guitarist of Saxon folk music - stepped onto the stage, picked up his guitar and sang Ballad of Ho Chi Minh.
The work is a praise for the Vietnamese leader, a simple but emotional ballad, resounding in the heart of distant Europe in a sacred moment for the Vietnamese people. When MacColl finished singing a part, immediately the audience below including sailors, workers, students, soldiers and even some British parliamentarians together shouted: "Ho Chi Minh!".
Ballad of Ho Chi Minh did not stop at a small stage, the song quickly spread throughout Europe, Asia, Latin America, was translated into many languages and became an artistic symbol of the image of Ho Chi Minh, the national liberation hero, a global symbol of freedom and human dignity.
