Artist Binh Map and singer Bich Thuy in the play "Before the old house" by the late musician and Meritorious Artist Bac Son
Singer Bich Thuy said that the short but emotional 3-day tour of the "Bac Son Love Songs" Art Troupe led by her in Phnom Penh, Cambodia was not only a journey to bring music to the Vietnamese community living far from home, but also a return to the roots of the nation and the love of compatriots.
"Through the precious connection of artist Phuong Nga, the troupe had the opportunity to serve overseas Vietnamese through two special performances on the occasion of Buddha's Birthday - although it came late, it was full of love and sincerity. Although Buddha's Birthday here came late, the sincerity was still complete" - singer Bich Thuy emotionally shared.

Singer Bich Phuong said: "The melodies carrying the spirit of compassion and wisdom in Buddhist music, combined with the profound homeland songs of the late musician Bac Son, were sung in a foreign land - as a word of gratitude, a sacred connection between culture, spirituality and the overseas Vietnamese community."
The artists recounted to the warm applause that echoed in the simple temple yard, in the tearful eyes of the Vietnamese children living far away from home, each song and each line of the play "In front of the old house" seemed to touch the heart, evoking the image of the homeland, parents, poor but meaningful meals.
Without needing to introduce the song title, "Con thuong rau dang moc sau he" rang out, making the audience choke up and sing along, as singer Ha Chau recounted - a seemingly ordinary but extremely sacred moment.

The artists said that the lives of overseas Vietnamese people in foreign lands are still full of hardships, working day and night to earn a living in a foreign land. But when hearing the news that a group of Vietnamese artists would come to perform, everyone eagerly waited, bringing along fresh flowers, smiles and tears, to give back to the artists as a sincere thank you.
Not only stopping at music, the group's heart also spreads through beautiful gestures. All the money donated by the people and the abbots, singer Bich Thuy on behalf of the group gave back to the pagoda - a place that regularly organizes charity activities to help overseas Vietnamese in difficulty.
It is not just giving, but a circle of love extended through each trip, each song, each hand holding each other. The delegation also organized charity gifts for overseas Vietnamese workers living in Cambodia.

In addition to the performance, the troupe also had the opportunity to visit the Royal Palace of Cambodia - a cultural symbol, a place that preserves the beauty and rituals of the Khmer dynasty; Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a museum of the Khmer Rouge's genocide during its reign from 1975 to 1979, Silver Pagoda...
During the trip, the artists once again felt more clearly the cultural exchange between the two nations and saw themselves as a small but meaningful part of that connecting bridge.

Closing the tour, the footsteps of the "Bac Son Love Songs" troupe left Phnom Penh, but the echoes still lingered - in the lingering eyes, the tight hugs of the audience, in the memories of each troupe member - where human love overcomes geographical distance, where music becomes the common voice of the heart.
Artist Khanh Tuan shared: "The trip is not only an artistic event, but also a journey filled with love, conveying faith and national pride in a foreign land. And everyone secretly hopes that there will be another opportunity to sing, to tell stories, to accompany the Vietnamese people in the land of pagodas - so that the songs "Bac Son Love Songs" will resonate again, lifting the souls who always turn to the Fatherland.
