Meritorious Artist Thanh Thanh Tam visits author Le Duy Hanh
On the afternoon of June 17, Meritorious Artist Thanh Thanh Tam visited author Le Duy Hanh - former Vice President of Vietnam Stage Artists Association, former President of Ho Chi Minh City Stage Association.
Recently, his health has improved thanks to the dedicated care of a team of medical specialists, "so I see that he is healthy and I am happy. Because for me, he is a teacher, a father who has taught and guided me a lot on the path of art" - Meritorious Artist Thanh Thanh Tam said about author Le Duy Hanh.
During the conversation after many years apart, she told her spiritual father stories about performing in a foreign land, especially the times she performed excerpts he composed such as: "The Swan's Shirt", "Ngoc Han's Confession"...
An intimate meal was prepared by the family of author Le Duy Hanh to treat their son who was far away from home and was returning to visit his hometown.
"I feel the warmth of an artist family. The beautiful memories of the time associated with the activities of the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association, when I joined the executive committee and was assigned to take over the activities of the Artists' Friendship Committee. I remember most the memory of being invited to join the jury, judging the Tran Huu Trang award alongside seniors whom I have respected all my life such as: People's Artist Phung Ha, People's Artist Huynh Nga, People's Artist Luong Dong, People's Artist Diep Lang, People's Artist Thanh Tong, People's Artist Thanh Vy... and author Le Duy Hanh played the role of Head of the Steering Committee of the competitions, which opened up for me a lot of experience in assessing the roles of young people coming to the prestigious competition of the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association from 1991 to 2012. Those valuable lessons will follow me throughout this life" - Meritorious Artist Thanh Thanh Tam shared.

She met with artists Binh Tinh and Bach Nga, two key members who are currently leading the Huynh Long troupe.

"Yesterday I visited my mother's grave - the late artist Thanh Thanh Hoa at the Artists' Temple in Go Vap and visited my father's grave - the late Meritorious Artist Nam Hung, the late Meritorious Artist Vu Linh at Binh Duong Cemetery Park, now my heart is even heavier when standing before the altars of the artists with whom I was once attached.
"There is nothing painful about having to say goodbye to loved ones" - Meritorious Artist Thanh Thanh Tam sadly shared that on her trip back to her homeland this year, she visited so many deceased people that she cried until her eyes were swollen.
