On July 15, Yahoo reported that singer Katy Perry had a serious accident during a concert of The Lifetimes Tour at the Chase Center (San Francisco).
During the climax of the song Roar , when Katy was lifted up by a giant butterfly model, the device suddenly malfunctioned, shaking violently and losing control. The singer almost fell in mid-air, causing panic among the audience below.

Katy's team has not yet made an official announcement about the cause of the incident. However, The Lifetimes Tour will continue as scheduled with the next leg taking place at Climate Pledge Arena (Seattle) on July 21.
