Thua Thien - Hue A 7th grade female student was beaten, stripped of her shirt and dragged by four classmates in front of many other students.
On October 23, social media went viral with many videos recording the scene of a 7th grade female student at Loc Dien Secondary School being beaten by a group of friends, having her hair pulled, her shirt stripped off, and being dragged on the ground. Afterwards, the female student was forced to kneel down to apologize. Many other students stood around watching and holding up their cell phones to record the incident. The location where the female student was beaten was an empty lot in Loc Dien Commune, Phu Loc District.
Mr. Doan Xuan Thanh, Principal of Loc Dien Secondary School, said that he had asked the four female students who beat their friend to write a report and work with their parents. Initially, the school determined that the 7th grade girl had been beaten by her friends many times, all outside the school. However, she did not dare to report it because she was threatened by the group. The student's health is currently stable and she was allowed to go home after being examined by the hospital.
This afternoon, the parents of the four students who beat their friend came to the family's house to apologize. The school has not yet decided on disciplinary action against the students involved.
