Sprint to complete highway through Ha Tinh before traffic starts
(Baohatinh.vn) - Contractors are focusing on completing the final stages of nearly 90km of the North-South Expressway through Ha Tinh before traffic is allowed to circulate on April 28.

In late April, the construction team of the contractor 319 Corporation ( Ministry of National Defense ) is working very urgently to lay asphalt concrete on the Ham Nghi bridge surface on the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi expressway through Thach Dai commune, Ha Tinh city.
These are almost the last meters of asphalt concrete on the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi highway when the time to put the main route into operation is only a matter of days.
After completing the asphalt concrete, the contractor will continue to paint road markings, install hard dividers, and traffic signs on Ham Nghi Bridge.
About 1km away, another construction team of the contractor Corporation 319 (Ministry of National Defense) is also busy installing hard dividers, guardrails, anti-glare nets, and cleaning the main road surface of the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi expressway.
Under the hot sun of the beginning of the season, the workers worked hard to complete the final items before the main highway was put into operation.
Each worker with assigned work is highly focused on the job.
Major Tran Dinh Ngan - Commander of the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi project of the contractor Corporation 319 said: The entire 13km long main route that the unit is undertaking construction of has basically been completed, currently only a few final tasks are being urgently completed.
Meanwhile, on the main route of the Ham Nghi - Vung Ang expressway, the asphalt concrete paving of the road surface and bridges was completed many days ago. Currently, contractors are also focusing on completing the final stages.
The installation of anti-glare nets, traffic signs, median strips, road markings, curb reinforcement, road surface cleaning... are being carried out simultaneously.
Mr. Nguyen Khac Trung - Executive Director of Ham Nghi - Vung Ang project (Thang Long Project Management Board) said: Up to now, the main items such as foundation, road surface, bridges, drainage, guardrails, signs, line painting... have been basically completed. Cleaning, safety inspection, and equipment calibration are being urgently completed to ensure the expressway is put into operation as planned.
The installation of traffic signs on the two highways has been basically completed.
The lighting system at the highway intersections in Ha Tinh has also been gradually completed.
Mr. Ho Ngoc Loan - Deputy Director of Thang Long Project Management Board said: Up to now, the workload on the two expressways Bai Vot - Ham Nghi and Ham Nghi - Vung Ang has been basically completed, ready for exploitation and operation on April 28. The two expressways Bai Vot - Ham Nghi, 35.28 km long, and Ham Nghi - Vung Ang, 54.2 km long, were technically opened to traffic on April 19 and officially put into operation on the main route on April 28, which will help reduce traffic pressure and open up new space and development momentum for localities where these key traffic routes pass through.
