In Hai Duong, for the first time, floating bonsai pots appeared, priced at millions but still attracting customers.

For the first time in Hai Duong, there is a flower pot or bonsai attached to the base via a hard chain, creating a unique and novel look that many people call "flying bonsai".

At the flower shop on Ngo Quyen Street (Hai Duong City), a new type of flower pot has appeared. Below is a base, above is a flower pot, ornamental plants, the two parts are connected by a chain. From a distance, it looks like the flower pot is floating in the air.

Ms. Vuong Yen Ngoc, the shop owner, said that this is the first year she has imported this type of pot to sell. Each pot costs from 800,000 to 900,000 VND. Depending on the requirements and preferences of customers, she can plant suitable trees such as kumquat, yellow apricot, red apricot... or one base can have 2 pots to plant 2 different types of trees.

One base can hold 2 pots or 1 pot, depending on each customer's preference.

The price of a bonsai tree ranges from 1.2 to 2 million VND, depending on the type.

Flying bonsai appeared about ten years ago, originating from Japan. Japanese bonsai players created a special magnetic bonsai pot that helps it balance itself in the air. The base is made of ceramic, with a very strong magnet inside and a rotating mechanism. The soil ball is integrated with a magnet inside with the opposite pole to the base's magnet.

This type of pot is small and suitable for the table.

However, playing Japanese-style flying bonsai is difficult and expensive, especially for non-professional customers, so bonsai players in Vietnam have creatively replaced the magnet with a chain that is hard enough to hold the pot firmly. This form of playing is suitable for small, table-top bonsai pots.
