Mr. Bui Thanh Giang holds the position of General Director of Saigon Water Corporation.

On the morning of October 31, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee held a ceremony to hand over the appointment decision to officials. Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, chaired the ceremony.

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Tho presented the decision of the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee appointing Mr. Bui Thanh Giang, Acting General Director of Saigon Water Corporation - One Member Limited Liability Company (SAWACO), to hold the position of General Director of Saigon Water Corporation - One Member Limited Liability Company, and concurrently a non-professional member of the Board of Members.

The Decision takes effect from October 30, 2025.

Mr. Bui Thanh Giang (middle), Acting General Director of Saigon Water Corporation - One Member Co., Ltd. (SAWACO) received the appointment decision on the morning of October 31.

Mr. Bui Thanh Giang, born in 1968, has a Master's degree, is a cadre who grew up from the grassroots, and has been fully committed for more than 35 years in the water supply industry of Ho Chi Minh City.

Since his early days working at Thu Duc Water Plant, he has held many important positions: Deputy Head of Planning - Technical - Materials Department, Manager of the Repair - Maintenance Workshop, Deputy Director and Head of Planning - Materials - General Department of Thu Duc Water Plant; Head of Technical - Technology Department of the Corporation; Director of Tan Hiep Water Plant; Director of Thu Duc Water Plant; Deputy General Director of SAWACO.

Before being appointed as General Director of SAWACO, from October 1, 2025, Mr. Bui Thanh Giang held the position of Acting General Director of SAWACO, managing the entire operations of the Corporation in the preparation period for the new development plan 2026-2030.

In his speech assigning tasks, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tho congratulated Mr. Bui Thanh Giang on being trusted by the collective, and expressed his hope that the new General Director, together with the SAWACO leadership, will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity and creativity, and successfully complete the assigned tasks - especially ensuring water supply safety, improving service quality, and sustainably developing the Ho Chi Minh City water supply and drainage system in 2025 and the period 2026-2030.
