On the afternoon of January 23, the Central Internal Affairs Committee held a conference to implement the Politburo's decision on personnel work.

At the Conference, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Phan Thang An announced the Politburo's decision on Mr. Bui Van Nghiem, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the XVth term of Vinh Long province, to cease participating in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and cease holding the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; to transfer, assign, and appoint him to the position of Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission.

At the Conference, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac, on behalf of the Commission's leadership, congratulated Mr. Bui Van Nghiem on being assigned and appointed by the Politburo to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission.

Mr. Phan Dinh Trac hopes that in his new position, Mr. Bui Van Nghiem will continue to promote his professional capacity, achievements and work experience, continue to make efforts, uphold responsibility, be a pioneer and exemplary role model in work, unite with the leadership of the Central Internal Affairs Commission to successfully complete assigned political tasks.

In his acceptance speech, the new Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Bui Van Nghiem affirmed that this is an honor and also a particularly important milestone in his work efforts. At the same time, this is also a great responsibility to the Party, to the people and to the high requirements of the work in the new period.

Deeply aware of his responsibility, Mr. Bui Van Nghiem promised to constantly strive, together with the leaders of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, to inherit and strongly promote the tradition of solidarity and valuable experience of the Commission to do a good job of advising and assisting the Central Executive Committee - directly and regularly the Politburo and the Secretariat on policies and guidelines in the fields of Internal Affairs, anti-corruption, and judicial reform.

The new Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission also promised to devote all his mind and strength, uphold the sense of responsibility to quickly approach the assigned field, continue to study, cultivate, practice, maintain moral qualities and lifestyle and improve working capacity, be ready to share and learn, wholeheartedly join the collective leadership, cadres, civil servants and public employees of the Central Internal Affairs Commission to promote tradition, strive to fulfill the assigned tasks to the highest level.

Mr. Bui Van Nghiem was born in 1966; qualifications: PhD in Political Science, Master of Political Science, Bachelor of Party Building and State Administration, Senior in Political Theory. He is a cadre who has grown up from the grassroots, having held many positions in the locality: Deputy Chief of Office, Chief of Office of Vung Liem District Party Committee, Vice Chairman, Chairman of Vung Liem District People's Committee, Secretary of Vung Liem District Party Committee; Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee.

At the 13th National Congress of the Party, Mr. Bui Van Nghiem was elected to the Party Central Committee and held the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Vinh Long province. In April 2021, Mr. Bui Van Nghiem held the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Vinh Long province. In July 2021, Mr. Bui Van Nghiem was a member of the 15th National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Vinh Long province.
