Mr. Nguyen Van Hien is Chairman of the Council of Hanoi National University of Education.

This morning, March 14, Hanoi National University of Education held a ceremony to announce the decision to recognize Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Hien, Party Secretary, Vice Rector of Hanoi National University of Education, to hold the position of Chairman of the University Council for the 2020-2025 term.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hien received the decision to recognize him as Chairman of the Council of Hanoi National University of Education for the 2020-2025 term according to the decision of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Before holding the position of Chairman of the University Council, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Hien was Vice Principal of Hanoi National University of Education. Mr. Hien replaces his predecessor, Professor Dr. Do Viet Hung.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Hien, born in 1975, received his bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees from Hanoi National University of Education. He was awarded the title of associate professor in 2015.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hien was a former student and lecturer of the Faculty of Biology; Head of Administration - General Department; Director of the Center for Research and Production of Learning Materials; then Vice Principal of Hanoi National University of Education since May 2021.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc congratulated Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Hien on receiving the high trust of the school and being assigned the responsibility of Chairman of the Council of Hanoi National University of Education.

“Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hien is a lecturer, well-trained and matured at Hanoi National University of Education. He has also held many positions from lecturer to department manager; he was assigned to work at the Ministry of Education and Training as Deputy Director of the ETEP Program Management Board. Therefore, the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training believe that Mr. Hien, in his position as Chairman of the School Council, will continue to make important, positive and effective contributions, promoting the development of the school with more success,” said Mr. Phuc.

According to the leaders of Hanoi National University of Education, the University Council is the governing body, exercising the representative rights of the university and related parties. The recognition of the Chairman of the University Council is of special importance, marking a new step in the work of perfecting the university's apparatus. The contributions of the University Council will open a new stage for the development of Hanoi National University of Education in the future.
