New York Judge Juan Merchant, presiding over the hush money trial of adult film star Stormy Daniels, declared US President-elect Donald Trump 'unconditionally exonerated' on January 10.
According to Reuters, under New York state law, the move means that Mr. Trump is still guilty but will not be detained, fined or placed on probation.

With the above sentence, Mr. Trump became the first former US President to be criminally prosecuted and convicted. Immediately after the end of the trial, the leader declared that the Democratic Party "failed in the witch hunt" despite spending "tens of millions of dollars and 6 years of effort", and affirmed that he would appeal to restore people's faith in the judicial system.
