
On the morning of November 4, information from the leaders of the People's Committee of Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone ( An Giang ) said that they are speeding up the progress of land registration, granting first-time land use right certificates, and changing land use purposes for households and individuals in the area.
Currently, in Phu Quoc, there is a total of 4,024 hectares of land of households, individuals and communities using land without being granted a Land Use Right Certificate.
There are 964 backlog files received from previous years implemented according to the 2013 Land Law, of which: 786 files of land users have fulfilled their financial obligations (527 files have printed land use right certificates, 259 files are continuing to complete files to print certificates), 172 files have been transferred to local officials for continued implementation, 6 files have been returned to land users due to not meeting the conditions.
There are 3,776 applications received under the 2024 Land Law, with an area of 2,600.2 hectares (the applications are handed over to the Working Groups for further implementation). In addition, there are 1,549 applications for land use purpose change.
The registration for granting land use right certificates is reviewed publicly and transparently, fees and charges are implemented in accordance with State regulations; striving to achieve a rate of 100% for the backlog of first-time land use right certificate applications by December 31, 2025.
