OPES Insurance and VBI have paid more than 1 billion VND to relatives of customers participating in the health care insurance program - VP Biz Care, helping to ease the pain and reduce the financial burden for those left behind.

The customer is Mr. Tran Trong Quynh (born in 1977, residing in Phu Tho), who borrowed capital from Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank ( VPBank ) for business purposes, and at the same time participated in the VP Biz Care health insurance program co-insured by OPES Insurance Joint Stock Company (OPES) and Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade Insurance Corporation (VBI).

At the end of April 2025, Mr. Quynh unfortunately fell off a ladder, resulting in serious injuries. Despite intensive treatment, Mr. Quynh did not survive. After receiving the information, OPES and VBI closely coordinated to verify and complete the compensation documents and procedures.

Based on the insurance terms that Mr. Quynh participated in, the two units paid insurance benefits with a total amount of VND 1,108,700,000. This is also the largest compensation that the VP Biz Care co-insurance program has ever paid, demonstrating the efforts of OPES and VBI to accompany and share with customers during difficult times.

On July 25, representatives of OPES and VBI visited the customer's family to visit and share the pain of loss, and directly informed the victim's family about the insurance compensation payment. This amount of more than 1.1 billion VND will help the family pay most of the previous treatment costs (up to 400 million VND), settle the remaining bank loan and leave a support cost for Mr. Quynh's relatives.

It is known that Mr. Quynh is the owner of a garment processing enterprise in Phu Tho with 02 well-functioning factories, continuously expanding business, creating jobs for many workers, so the working capital is quite large. Mr. Quynh's sudden departure is a great loss for both his family and his business. Without an operator, operations at the 02 factories were also interrupted, while expenses and financial obligations were still due, creating no small amount of pressure. In that situation, the timely insurance payment partly shared the burden, helping the family to cover treatment costs and gradually stabilize their lives.
