PC Ha Tinh continues to promote electrical safety propaganda during the stormy season.

Identifying propaganda work as one of the effective solutions to help people raise awareness in electricity use, thereby limiting the risk of electrical accidents, from the beginning of 2024, PC Ha Tinh has built a program to reduce violations of power grid safety corridors (HLATLĐ) and electrical safety among people.

Accordingly, the Company requires its affiliated units to proactively develop plans, strengthen propaganda work, and mobilize people to properly implement measures to prevent and avoid electrical accidents.

Mr. Bui Quang Nhiem - Head of PC Safety Department Ha Tinh - said: "To prevent electrical accidents among people, especially during the rainy and stormy season, the Company has directed units to synchronously implement many solutions such as sending text messages; organizing propaganda through the loudspeaker system of villages and hamlets; distributing leaflets; hanging and pasting banners and slogans in places where people often gather, thereby promoting and raising awareness of customers and people in using electricity to ensure safety and efficiency.

According to statistics, since the beginning of this year, PC Ha Tinh has directly distributed to customers more than 61 thousand leaflets and 100 hand-held fans printed with propaganda content on protecting high-voltage occupational safety; distributed nearly 1,000 electrical safety handbooks to households living in and on both sides of the occupational safety; installed nearly 500 electrical safety propaganda panels in places where people often gather such as markets, schools, etc.

Before the rainy season, the Department also strengthened the direction of its affiliated units to actively coordinate with local authorities to encourage people to proactively check the electrical system from behind the meter into the house; advise customers to promptly repair and replace electrical equipment and wires that do not meet quality standards and safe operating regulations such as wires with peeled shells, touching the corrugated iron roof, wires hung on makeshift trees, etc.

At the same time, guide people to raise awareness of fire prevention, electrical short circuits, especially when it rains heavily and water floods the family's living area.

At the same time, to help people better understand the measures to prevent and avoid the harmful effects of lack of vigilance in using electricity, the Company also requires the Power Companies to assign staff to go directly to customers' homes to propagate and deliver safety notices (in paper) to each household living and doing business in and on both sides of the high-voltage labor safety zone.

As coastal districts, often affected by storms and rains, propaganda work on preventing electrical accidents among people in Loc Ha, Cam Xuyen, Ky Anh districts, etc. is always of interest and focus to Electricity units.

Mr. Nguyen Kien Cuong - Director of Loc Ha Electricity - said: "As soon as there was information about storms and rains, to minimize incidents on the power grid and ensure electrical safety for the people, we launched a campaign to propagate and instruct people to strictly comply with the principles of electrical safety; strengthen the warning for people not to use poles and wires to tie boats and rafts to electric poles; do not climb electric poles to check and repair the electrical system when it is windy and rainy; proactively check and reinforce the electrical wiring system behind the meter, do not let the wires be submerged in water when there is a flood, the joints must be securely wrapped, and the wires must not be cracked to avoid electric leakage.

For electricity customers in areas with high voltage power lines, Loc Ha Power Company has actively propagated to households, requesting customers to strictly comply with regulations on power grid safety corridors; not to build, expand houses, or plant trees that violate the safety distance of power works, to avoid unfortunate incidents.

In addition, the Company and its affiliated units also increase the sharing of images, posters, and videos about electrical safety on social networks such as fanpage, zalo, etc. so that people can clearly understand the measures to ensure safety for people and property.

Actively coordinate with media agencies and units to produce reports and news articles reflecting the implementation of regulations on electrical safety by businesses and people in the area, thereby giving warning signals about risks and consequences of subjectivity and negligence in dealing with electrical safety violations.

With many rich forms of propaganda along with synchronous direction and implementation from top to bottom, PC Ha Tinh has contributed to raising customers' sense of responsibility in ensuring grid safety, helping people understand the effects of safe electricity use and comply with the principles of electricity use to join hands with the electricity industry to ensure increasingly stable power sources, minimizing electrical accidents among the people.

In addition to the efforts of the electricity sector, local authorities at all levels need to further promote propaganda and mobilize people to strictly implement measures to use electricity safely, economically and effectively; resolutely punish cases of intentional violations of the power grid corridor, to avoid unfortunate accidents.
