As of 9:00 AM on October 5th, the total number of customers affected by Typhoon No. 10 was 3,803,996; of which 3,687,512 customers had their power restored, reaching 97% of the total. Electricity sector officials and workers are still working urgently to complete the restoration, while also preparing to deploy new tasks to ensure a safe and stable power supply in response to the upcoming Typhoon No. 11.
Previously, EVNNPC issued an urgent dispatch to respond to Typhoon No. 11 (MATMO). EVNNPC requested its units to implement various disaster prevention measures, including: continuing to strictly implement the directives and guiding documents of the Ministry of Industry and Trade , EVN, and EVNNPC on disaster prevention and search and rescue in 2025; absolutely avoiding complacency and closely monitoring weather developments; organizing 100% staffing on duty, implementing the "4 on-site" - "3 ready" principle, and preparing sufficient personnel, vehicles, materials, and backup equipment.
Member units must establish a rapid response team of at least 60 people, directly commanded by a company leader, ready to mobilize within 8 hours; proactively respond to heavy rain, flash floods, and landslides; elevate and move materials and equipment to safe locations; coordinate with the government, relevant agencies, and telecommunications companies, while also educating people on safe electricity use and discouraging them from attempting repairs themselves in case of malfunctions.
Power companies are required to mobilize personnel, equipment, and temporary steel poles to urgently repair the damage and restore power to customers, promptly reporting and coordinating for reinforcement when needed. Hydropower plants are preparing essential supplies, materials, and equipment to respond promptly to emergencies.
Regarding workplace safety, workers must comply with regulations, wear life jackets when crossing flooded areas, and be vigilant against landslides and flash floods in mountainous regions. Construction projects must have plans for flood and landslide prevention; protect machinery and equipment; and review property and construction insurance records.
With a sense of urgency, decisiveness, and absolute safety, EVNNPC is committed to closely coordinating with localities to respond to Typhoon No. 11, ensuring a stable power supply and serving the people.
