Recently, Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group ( Petrovietnam ) held a ceremony to officially announce the operation of the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for parent company PVN - Phase 1.

According to PVN, realizing the strategic significance and importance of digital transformation for the sustainable development of enterprises, as a tool to implement innovation, improve labor productivity, operational efficiency and competitiveness, and the benefits that digital transformation brings, Petrovietnam has determined that the Group's digital transformation is a must.
In particular, the digital initiative on implementing the ERP enterprise resource planning system - Phase 1 is a key digital initiative, one of the core digital initiatives, playing a leading important role of Petrovietnam. Despite its high complexity, with the determination to complete the digitalization mission of Petrovietnam, the units, departments and offices of the Group's Implementation Team have closely coordinated with the contractor to put the system into operation with 6 functional subsystems including: Financial accounting; Management accounting and treasury/cash flow; budget planning and forecasting; investment portfolio management; consolidated financial statements; management reporting.
With the tireless efforts of all parties, on March 31, 2022, the first subsystem was put into operation: Financial Accounting Subsystem. On November 20, 2022, the Parent Company Financial Reporting Consolidation Subsystem was put into operation. On March 8, 2024, the Group Financial Reporting Consolidation Subsystem was put into operation. The remaining subsystems have completed the work of system construction, data conversion, and end-user training. The entire system is ready to be officially put into operation on March 31, 2024.
Mr. Le Ngoc Son, General Director of Petrovietnam, said that the successful implementation of the ERP system has helped the Group improve its management and operation capacity, and optimize financial management. The data is updated promptly, providing a more comprehensive view of the operations of the units in the Group, helping to maximally support the Group's leadership in making decisions.
In the coming time, with the goal of ensuring the system is operated safely and stably, the system's data is "correct, sufficient, alive, clean", the leaders of PVN Group require the Group Office, professional departments, member units, and partners to continue to improve culture in the digital transformation period, focusing on reviewing, updating and perfecting the entire system operation process according to the provisions of law.
Organize a comprehensive review and assessment of the system to promptly detect and prevent risks, technical weaknesses, security holes, and immediately deploy measures to handle and overcome existing problems, ensuring absolute safety for the system. In addition, absorb user opinions, research to improve and upgrade the system to help Petrovietnam use and maximize the value the system brings.
