My friend from Gia Lai went down to Phan Thiet for a few days of relaxation on the weekend. We walked around from the south of Ca Ty River to Hung Vuong Street and then to Mui Ne. The first thing my friend said was: Phan Thiet streets are full of flowers, so beautiful! Feeling happy, I took my friend for a walk through the streets with many yellow flowers. While being the driver to take my friend sightseeing, I introduced: Yellow flowers are being grown a lot in Phan Thiet. Because yellow osaka flowers bloom all year round, but bloom the most in March - May. When yellow apricot blossoms its last buds or yellow chrysanthemums are about to dry their branches, the osaka flowers are bright yellow on many streets of the new residential area. Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, a worker at the Urban Environment and Sanitation Company, shared: “In recent years, Phan Thiet urban tree growers want the yellow osaka flowers to bloom a lot during the Lunar New Year. A month before, we cut the branches and trim the leaves so that during the 3 days of the traditional New Year, the yellow apricot blossoms bloom in the house and on the streets, the osaka flowers also spread their fragrance, the thin, bright yellow petals flutter on the sidewalks…”.
Bright yellow Osaka flowers on Vo Van Kiet street
Osaka is a tree native to Southern Asia, requires a lot of light, is drought-resistant and grows very quickly; moreover, this tree is not very tall, has a wide canopy; the flowers bloom in clusters hanging down on the roadside like "golden lanterns" shimmering in the early morning sun. Therefore, new residential areas in Phan Thiet are planted with many yellow osaka (also known as yellow scorpion) to enhance the beauty, friendliness and modernity of the tourist city.
Check-in yellow bell flowers blooming on Hung Vuong street
After more than 2 hours of visiting the streets and wards in Phan Thiet, my friend spent a lot of time admiring the yellow osaka flowers and yellow bell flowers on the streets: Pham Hung, Truong Han Sieu, Dang Thai Mai, Vo Van Kiet, Nguyen Gia Tu, 19/4 Street... The bright yellow color of the osaka flowers really captivated my friend. My friend said: "In the Central Highlands, this type of flower only grows in the sparse forests of Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Dak Lak . Some people bring it back to plant in their gardens as spring ornamental plants... but on the streets, there is no such plant...".
Phan Thiet streets not only have yellow osaka but also many other types of flowers such as: purple Lagerstroemia flowers on Mau Than street; white frangipani planted around Hoa Binh park, Thanh Minh temple; do mai flowers on Vo Nguyen Giap street; and pansy flowers in Vo Van Kiet park... However, yellow flowers still dominate the streets. In addition to yellow osaka flowers, there are also yellow bell flowers (also known as yellow wind chimes) competing to show off their colors at the corner of Ton Duc Thang - Hung Vuong streets. This is a bright yellow flower, when it blooms, the leaves will gradually fall, leaving only flowers on the branches, looking beautiful from afar. The colors of street flowers have truly brought romance and poetry to the tourist city of Phan Thiet, creating a very unique beauty and attracting tourists.
