Launching the Environmental Protection Journalism Award in the Industry and Trade Sector

On the occasion of World Environment Day, on the morning of June 5, in Hanoi, the Department of Industrial Safety Techniques and Environment (Ministry of Industry and Trade) and the Industry and Trade Newspaper held a launching ceremony for the "Press Award for writing about environmental protection in the industry and trade sector in 2025".

The press award aims to spread the message of economic development associated with environmental protection, implementing the National Strategy on Green Growth and the goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2050.

According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Cuong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Industry and Trade Newspaper, the press is a powerful channel for transmitting ideas, a bridge connecting policies, businesses and people. This contest continues to arouse the spirit of joining hands to spread green development thinking, encourage advanced models, reflect on shortcomings and promote the improvement of environmental policies.

The contest is open to professional and non-professional journalists, collaborators, media officers, experts in and outside the industry and trade sector. Each individual or group (maximum 5 people) can submit multiple works. The works have been published in print or online newspapers from October 1, 2023 to July 30, 2025. The deadline for submissions is August 15, 2025.

The prize structure of this award includes 21 prizes: 1 Special prize worth 15 million VND, 2 A prizes (10 million VND/prize), 3 B prizes (8 million VND/prize), 5 C prizes (5 million VND/prize), 8 consolation prizes (3 million VND/prize) and 2 thematic prizes (10 million VND/prize). The award ceremony is expected to be held in October 2025.
