Electronic cigarettes of unknown origin seized at coffee shop.
Previously, through understanding the situation, the Economic Police Team of Tay Ninh City Police discovered many subjects using personal Facebook and Zalo to openly sell electronic cigarettes of unknown origin, so they made a plan to eradicate them.
At about 10:30 a.m. on June 9, 2023, the Economic Police Team of Tay Ninh City Police coordinated with Ward 3 Police to conduct an inspection and discovered that Ms. Tham was trading in electronic cigarettes but could not present documents proving the legal origin and source.
Tay Ninh City Police conducted an inspection and temporarily seized 502 electronic cigarettes and 105 bottles of essential oils of various types including: OX3, LYO3, AKSO, GEEKVAPE, RINCOE, PIKACHU... The value of the exhibits is about 50 million VND.
At the police station, Tham confessed to ordering e-cigarettes on Facebook from groups specializing in selling e-cigarettes.
After placing an order and purchasing the product, Tham used her personal Facebook page to advertise the sale for prices ranging from 50,000 VND to 500,000 VND per tree.
It is worth mentioning that the buyers of the above electronic cigarettes are mainly students and teenagers aged 18-25.
Tay Ninh City Police proceeded to record the incident, temporarily detain the exhibits and continue to consolidate the case file for handling according to legal regulations.
