According to Indian Express , the bodies of a forest officer's wife and their two children, reported missing since November 7, were found in a field near their home in Bhavnagar on November 16.
Police said they have begun the process of filing a murder case, with the ranger as the prime suspect.

According to police, the suspect has been identified as Shailesh Khambhla, an Assistant Conservator of Forests in Bhavnagar. On November 7, Shailesh reported to Bharatnagar police station that his wife Nayana (42), daughter 13, and son 9 were missing.
Bhavnagar district police chief Nitesh Pandey said the three victims lived in Surat but moved in with Shailesh in his government house in Bhavnagar while their two children were on vacation.
Pandey police informed that during the investigation of the missing person report, questioning nearby residents and technical analysis, the police received information that someone was digging in the land near the government house where Shailesh's family was living.
"We inspected the filled-up land in the presence of a magistrate, forensic science laboratory staff and witnesses and found three bodies there. The bodies were identified by relatives as Nayana and her two children," Pandey said.
"The bodies have been sent for post-mortem. Shailesh Khambhla is one of the main suspects," Pandey added.
Authorities have opened an investigation into the case.
