Newborn baby's body found near Highway 51

Early on the morning of August 25, a worker on his way home from work discovered the body of a newborn baby in an alley about 35 meters from National Highway 51, in Ben Dinh neighborhood, Phu My ward (HCMC).

Phu My Ward Police in coordination with Ho Chi Minh City Police Department were present to protect the scene, conduct an investigation, and clarify the cause of the incident. The victim was a girl, her body still had the umbilical cord intact and was taken to the morgue for processing according to regulations.

According to the security camera in the area, at about 0:13 a.m. the same day, a car stopped on Highway 51, then 3-4 people got out. At about 0:26 a.m., these people returned to the car and left. At the scene, the authorities recorded many blood stains and a set of bloody clothes.

The case is under further investigation and verification.
