Fined over 369 million VND for homemade vehicles transporting bridge girders without a license

On March 11, Duc Tho District Police ( Ha Tinh ) announced that the unit had just issued an administrative penalty notice to Hoa Hiep Company Limited and 6 drivers for using a tractor-trailer to transport super-long bridge girders (Super-T) without a license from Nghe An to Ha Tinh.

The drivers include Tran Huu H. (born in 1982), Nguyen Van D. (born in 1985), Le Van Th. (born in 1981), Nguyen Van H. (born in 1982), Dang Sy Th. (born in 1985) and Bui Viet H. (born in 1990, all residing in Nghe An province).

According to the verification results, Hoa Hiep Company Limited (headquartered in Vinh City, Nghe An) used 4 tractor trucks to transport Super-T bridge girders from the concrete casting station in Nam Dan District (Nghe An) to the construction site of Hung Duc overpass in the Dien Chau - Bai Vot section of the North - South Eastern Expressway project phase 2017 - 2020, in Duc Tho District (Ha Tinh).

The group of drivers used 4 tractor trucks with license plates: 37H- 051.54, 37C- 142.81, 37H – 051.92 and 37C- 357.32 to transport bridge girders with dimensions of 38.2 m long, 2.42 m wide and 1.75 m high.

These vehicles travel along National Highway 46A - National Highway 1A Vinh City bypass - Provincial Road 542C (in Nghe An province) to Provincial Road 552 - National Highway 15A - National Highway 8A onto the service road to reach the Hung Duc bridge construction site.

For transportation, the company arranged 2 pickup trucks to go in front and behind the vehicle carrying the bridge girders, with priority lights installed to guide the way and lock the tail. On the other hand, to avoid control and handling by the traffic police and authorities, the company arranged for someone to go in front to observe and promptly report.

During the working process with the Traffic Police Team of Duc Tho District Police, representatives of Hoa Hiep Company Limited and 6 drivers admitted to 3 violations, including: Transporting oversized goods without a license, installing priority lights incorrectly, and pulling and pushing vehicles incorrectly.

For the above violations, Duc Tho Police (Ha Tinh) has issued administrative fines totaling VND369.2 million for the above violations. In addition to the fines, the drivers also had their driving licenses revoked for 2 months; Hoa Hiep Company Limited had its badges revoked for 2 months for 4 tractors used to transport bridge girders.
