Promoting the potential for developing Vietnamese cinema and animation

DNO - On May 12, within the framework of the first Da Nang Asian Film Festival 2023 (DANAFF), a seminar on Japanese cinema - Successful experiences and directions for cooperation in production with Vietnam took place, attracting the attention of film and animation producers.

This is an activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, and at the same time, the next step for a series of activities to promote and develop Vietnamese animated films in the future. The workshop is divided into 3 sessions, including: Japanese cinema - experience and success; film production cooperation between Japanese cinema and Vietnamese cinema; potential and trends of animation production cooperation between Japan and Vietnam.

Through the workshop, experts presented successful experiences of Japanese cinema, reviewed the process of film production cooperation between Japanese cinema and Vietnamese cinema. From there, they found out the potential and direction of cooperation between film enterprises, especially animation enterprises.

Previously, on May 10, the City People's Committee coordinated with the Vietnam Cinema Promotion Association to organize a workshop on "Developing the film industry - Building a favorable filmmaking environment in Da Nang" with the participation of famous domestic and international producers and directors. The workshop had 2 parts, including: the role of the film industry and its impact on local economic development; Building a favorable filmmaking environment in Da Nang - Domestic and international experiences.

At this workshop, domestic and international experts and filmmakers gave their opinions and shared their experiences, especially assessing the potential for Da Nang's film development and proposing solutions for the development of the city's film industry in the future.

Thereby, opening up opportunities for filmmakers to come to Da Nang to create cinematic works; at the same time, creating a favorable filmmaking environment in Da Nang, contributing to the overall socio-economic development of the city.
