Implementing the movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025", the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has promoted its core role in propaganda, mobilization, and effective mobilization of social resources, arousing the strength of great national unity, contributing to providing shelter and helping people in difficult circumstances to settle down.
Responding to the emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025", with financial support from the State budget, Lap Thach district directed the dissemination and dissemination to all cadres, party members and people about the meaning of the movement, creating a positive response, mobilizing resources to join hands in implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area.
During the implementation process, the district Fatherland Front has promoted its core role in propaganda, advocacy, and resource mobilization; effectively implemented the work of screening subjects in need of support for new construction and housing repair and supervising the effective use of resources, providing support to the right subjects, in accordance with practical conditions, ensuring the principles of publicity and transparency.
Comrade Le Minh Duc, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Lap Thach district, said: “The Fatherland Front and the district's departments, branches and unions have stepped up propaganda, mobilization and socialization of resources to join hands and contribute to helping the poor settle down. With the drastic participation of the entire political system, the cooperation of organizations, individuals and philanthropists, up to now, Lap Thach has completed the construction and repair of 101 houses for poor and near-poor households, reaching 100% of the plan, of which 25 houses were supported by the Fatherland Front and the district Red Cross; 76 newly built and repaired houses were supported by the provincial budget”.
The family of Mr. Tran Van Thai, Tan Lap village, Dong Ich commune is a poor household. Mr. Thai himself is in poor health and often sick, while his wife has a congenital disability. The family's level 4 house has been degraded for a long time but there are no conditions to repair or rebuild. Thanks to the support of the Fatherland Front of Lap Thach district, the Provincial Red Cross Society and local organizations, the dream of having a new solid house of Mr. Thai's family has become a reality.
Mr. Thai said: “Not only did we receive support from all levels and sectors, during the process of building the house, my wife and I were also encouraged by the villagers, supported with construction materials, contributed to filling the land, leveling the ground... helping to complete the house soon. I am very happy, excited and grateful for the support of mass organizations and local authorities; the affection of the villagers has helped my wife and I settle down and stabilize our lives."
Being a poor household, for many years, Ms. Do Thi Vinh, Ngoc Ha village has not had the conditions to build a new house or repair her old, dilapidated house. To support Ms. Vinh in building a new house, in addition to the 50 million VND supported by the district Fatherland Front and the help of relatives in the family, the Fatherland Front of Thai Hoa commune has mobilized local people to participate in supporting materials and labor days, speeding up the progress of house construction.
Ms. Vinh shared: “Without the help of all levels, sectors, and villagers, I probably would never have been able to build such a spacious and solid house. From now on, I no longer have to worry every time there is a storm.”
In the period of 2019 - 2024, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations mobilized all levels, sectors, localities, businesses and people to contribute more than 111 billion VND, built 1,921 solidarity houses for poor households, helped the poor settle down, work and produce with peace of mind, created a fulcrum and motivation for the poor to rise up in life, gradually escape poverty; making an important contribution to poverty reduction and ensuring social security in the province.
Through screening and statistics in early 2025, the whole province has 569 poor and near-poor households with housing difficulties that need support to build new or repair houses. Contributing to the early completion of the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, effectively implementing the movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025", the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has focused on doing a good job of propaganda, dissemination, implementation, and dissemination to cadres, party members, and people of the Central and provincial directives and guidelines on support for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses. Thereby, creating consensus in society, effectively mobilizing and utilizing resources among the people to join hands in eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.
As of May 23, the Fatherland Front at all levels has mobilized and received more than 1.5 billion VND to support the Fund "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses". Along with financial support, the Fatherland Front at all levels has coordinated with the government and mass organizations to mobilize people in the community to help with labor and materials for poor households to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. With the participation of the entire political system, up to now, the whole province has had 172 poor and near-poor households start repairing and building new houses.
In the coming time, the provincial Fatherland Front will continue to promote its core role, mobilizing the strength of the entire political system and all classes of people to concentrate all resources to support poor and near-poor households with housing difficulties in need of support for new construction and repair in 2025; coordinate with localities to monitor the use of resources to support the construction and repair of houses for the beneficiaries to ensure effectiveness.
