Especially young doctors, always full of positive energy, contributing both medical skills and medical ethics to the community. In recent times, grassroots organizations of the city's health sector have promoted the implementation of many solutions to promote the strengths of young doctors.

Nurturing the force
At Can Tho General Hospital, the current results of developing party members for the 2020-2025 term have reached 99/100 party members according to the plan. Dr. Huynh Minh Phu, Deputy Secretary of the Hospital Party Committee, said that the Party Committee focuses on developing new party members, especially young doctors, to create a core for the hospital to develop. The Party Committee does not pursue quantity but focuses on quality.
Dr. Dang Van Hai, Secretary of the Emergency Department Party Cell, Can Tho General Hospital, said: The Party Cell's work on developing Party members always exceeds the target. Since the beginning of the term, the Party Cell has taken care of each subject, promptly commended young people who are active in their work, helping young people to be more confident, make more efforts, and voluntarily strive to join the Party.
Not only the City General Hospital, but also specialized hospitals have created the best conditions for the development of new party members and have achieved positive results. According to Dr. Nguyen Xuan Viet, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Can Tho City Hematology and Blood Transfusion Hospital, the plan for the 2020-2025 term requires the Hospital Party Committee to admit 10 new party members, but up to now, the Party Committee has completed the target, and there are currently 6 files submitted to the Party Committee of the Can Tho City Party Civil Affairs Bloc for consideration and decision.
The Party Committee of Can Tho City Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital continues to implement solutions to raise awareness and responsibility of Party committees and Party cells for Party development work. The Party Committee builds a clean and strong organization, improves the material and spiritual life of officials and workers so that the masses can clearly see the Party's leadership, pioneering and exemplary role, and motivates the masses to strive to join the Party. In addition, the Party Committee closely combines admission with screening of Party members. It is ready to remove unqualified Party members from the Party.
Although the grassroots health sector has limited human resources, units are still striving to achieve the goal of party development. The Co Do District Party Committee issued a resolution on strengthening leadership in recruiting party members in grassroots party organizations of public service units, for the period 2022 - 2025, including the medical sector. At the same time, it directed party committees at all levels to proactively develop plans to create sources and train candidates; pay attentionto educating and creating conditions for Party admission for candidates with high professional qualifications, who have completed their tasks well, and actively participated in movements. The Phong Dien District Party Committee continues to focus on improving the quality and effectiveness of party member development work, especially in creating sources, through movements and activities, and directing mass organizations to promptly detect and train outstanding people right from the time they are recruited.

The “White Blouse Youth” model of the Can Tho City Obstetrics Hospital Youth Union is a highlight of the Can Tho City Party Civil Affairs Youth Union movement. With the criteria of patriotism, pure morality, cultural lifestyle, pioneering actions and aspirations to rise up, the young medical force builds a model for young people in the new era of the medical profession. Ms. Tran Thi Bich Ngoc, Secretary of the Can Tho City Obstetrics Hospital Youth Union, said: “The above criteria are closely linked to the reality of the medical profession. Young people must cultivate pure morality, constantly study and rise up, dedicate themselves, and not be afraid of hardship. Accordingly, the Executive Committee builds plans and movements closely linked to values”.
By participating in the movement, young people have accumulated a lot of experience and skills. Ms. Phan Anh Trang, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Civil Affairs Bloc of the Party of Can Tho City, said: The model of "White Blouse Youth" is very good and needs to be replicated in the city's health sector. Besides this program, for many years, the Youth Union has mobilized medical forces to carry out "Spring Volunteer", examining and providing medicine at home for people in rural districts.
Dr. Tran Duc Huy, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Can Tho City Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, said that joining the Party does not mean stopping or faltering, but every day we need to continue to strive to better promote the role of a Party member. The path of a doctor is a very long journey of aspiration, marking comprehensive efforts in both capacity and will, and a sense of responsibility towards patients and the community. From there, we will be an example for the next generation to follow, contributing to the overall development of the Hospital.
Dr. Duc Huy shared: “The hospital environment is dynamic, constantly developing, creating great pressure to constantly move forward, always updating new knowledge continuously. Income is one of the important factors for doctors to stick with the hospital, but more importantly, it is the emotional bond between the individual and the collective, under the common roof of Can Tho City Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, devoting all efforts to the cause of obstetrics and gynecology health care for women in the Mekong Delta region”.

Can Tho City Hematology and Blood Transfusion Hospital has performed almost all advanced and specialized techniques in the field of hematology. Currently, young medical teams have been trained from higher levels in bone marrow transplantation, waiting to be deployed in the coming time to serve patients. According to Mr. Tran Van Nhi, Secretary of the Hospital's Youth Union, in order to improve professional quality as well as the Youth Union movement, the Hospital's Youth Union has strengthened political and ideological education and propaganda, raised awareness, and created a favorable environment for members to practice and strive to become Party members. With the green volunteer shirt and white blouse, in recent times, young doctors have brought enthusiasm and pioneering spirit, contributing to the work of taking care of people's health.
In the suburbs, medical units strengthen the Party organization in their own way, which is to promote internal strength. Dr. Duong Van An, Party Secretary of Co Do District Medical Center, said that the Center regularly receives advanced technology transfer from higher levels. Thanks to that, the hospital attracts patients, improves revenue, and retains medical staff, including young Party members. The Center recommends that superiors continue to supplement staff, pay attention to investing in facilities and equipment. At the same time, it strengthens professional training for the team, improves the quality of medical examination and treatment; and arranges examination procedures to meet people's satisfaction.
The City Department of Health determines: Each young doctor is aware of his or her noble mission, considering the trust of patients and society as a goal to strive for. The role of each party member in the medical sector must be closely linked to expertise. Currently, the City Department of Health is building new goals for the young party members, focusing on promoting expertise to take care of community health. In addition, creating the best working environment to develop young human resources dedicated to the profession. The Can Tho Health Sector is completing the Draft Document of the City Health Sector Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, in which dynamic and creative staff are encouraged and protected for the common benefit of the health sector.

Many new responsibilities and challenges require the Can Tho Health sector to transform. In particular, the new and young Party members play a crucial role, contributing both in terms of qualifications, professional capacity and steadfast political qualities, gradually building Can Tho to become a worthy medical center of the Mekong Delta region.
