Vinh Thanh town has 4 hamlets, a natural area of 650.42 hectares, with 1,545 households and 5,727 people. After 2 years of implementing civilized urban construction, with the efforts and joint efforts of the entire political system, the town's appearance has improved, the socio-economic situation has developed, and the material and spiritual life of the people has been improved. From 2023 to 2024, Vinh Thanh town has mobilized all capital sources with more than 30.4 billion VND to build, renovate and upgrade traffic works serving the people. Up to now, 100% of the roads in the town have been asphalted and concreted according to the plan; the main roads have sidewalks, lighting, and shady trees. The economic life of the people has been significantly improved, with the average income per capita reaching over 73.64 million VND/person/year; security and order have been maintained and stabilized; Civilized lifestyle is enhanced; cultural, artistic, medical and educational activities meet prescribed standards, serving the people better and better.

According to the People's Committee of Vinh Thanh district, in addition to investing in building civilized urban areas in the area, Vinh Thanh district has also focused on directing sectors and units to coordinate in improving the quality of criteria for building new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, and model new rural areas. Thereby, the city has issued a decision to recognize Thanh Quoi and Thanh My communes as advanced new rural areas, Thanh Thang commune as model new rural areas in 2024; at the same time, the locality has successfully organized a ceremony to announce the recognition of civilized urban areas for Vinh Thanh and Thanh An towns... In addition, Vinh Thanh also focuses on implementing the rural traffic plan in 2025; organizing the dredging and reinforcement of a number of irrigation canals combined with traffic development with the volume of 17,974m3, reaching 63.51% of the volume; Organize the acceptance and put into use of 8 irrigation works from the state budget, with a volume of 253,752m3 and a cost of 5,706 billion VND; direct the completion of the technical economic report on investment in the construction of the F1G1 electric pumping station adjacent to canal 1000, Thanh An commune, at the same time, the district's functional branches complete the documents on the investment policy of 4 projects to renovate and dredge the irrigation system to create inter-commune sources... in 2025.

In particular, from the beginning of 2025 to now, Vinh Thanh District People's Committee has continued to resolutely implement the resolutions of the City Party Committee, City People's Committee, District Party Committee, District People's Council on the main tasks and solutions to implement the socio-economic development plan in 2025. Thereby, the socio-economic situation of the district has achieved many good results in many fields; the locality directed the safe harvest of winter-spring rice in 2024-2025, and planted summer-autumn rice according to the crop calendar. The value of industrial and construction production in the past 4 months was 2,316 billion VND, reaching 41.36% of the plan (up 20.75% over the same period in 2024); the level of goods sold and service revenue was 1,557 billion VND, reaching 38.92% of the plan (up 11.62% over the same period in 2024). In general, the market situation in the area is stable, traditional markets, convenience stores and family businesses have goods that fully meet people's consumption needs with stable prices...

In the coming time, Vinh Thanh District People's Committee will focus on directing the care and harvest of summer-autumn rice in 2025 to ensure safety and success; vegetables, fruit trees, aquaculture development and agricultural products to ensure quality and safety. Direct specialized sectors, People's Committees of communes and towns to regularly monitor epidemics and guide farmers to prevent and treat them promptly, safely and effectively. Closely monitor the epidemic situation and veterinary hygiene inspection and vaccination of livestock and poultry. Continue to consolidate and improve the quality of production models, cooperatives, cooperative groups, and large fields in the district, especially the pilot model of 1 million hectares of high-quality, low-emission specialized rice fields associated with green growth; implement the OCOP program for each commune in 2025. Review and accelerate the implementation of criteria for model new rural communes in Thanh An commune.

Mr. Doan Quoc Su, Chairman of Vinh Thanh District People's Committee, emphasized: In the following months, Vinh Thanh District will strengthen the inspection, supervision and urging of the construction progress of transitional works; urgently complete the documents to implement new works starting in 2025, especially national key works implemented in the area; direct investors to thoroughly handle the remaining problems transferred from the previous period. Focus on speeding up the disbursement of works, striving to disburse to meet the capital plan. Strengthen the inspection of production and business activities, market management, promptly detect and strictly handle violations in production and business activities, smuggling and trade fraud, illegal construction, encroachment on road corridors, waterway and road traffic safety corridors. Well implement the issuance of certificates of land use rights, house ownership rights and other assets attached to land according to the regular land records. Establish procedures for land planning, land allocation and land recovery of projects in the area to ensure timeliness and compliance with regulations...”.
