Lam Dong - Ha Tinh connect to promote and consume clean agricultural products

(LĐ online) - On May 28, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuc - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province said that two department-level units of Lam Dong and Ha Tinh provinces have just organized a conference on cooperation in connecting, promoting and consuming agricultural products, promoting clean agriculture, ensuring quality and food safety.

At the meeting, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong and Ha Tinh provinces shared information about the potential, advantages, typical agricultural products of the localities and some specialties of the Central Highlands and North Central regions.

Lam Dong has strengths in agriculture, especially high-tech agriculture. The whole province has 263 linkage chains, including typical and key products such as avocado, durian, vegetables, etc.

For Ha Tinh, in recent times, the province has focused on clean agricultural production in the direction of goods. Currently, the whole province has 265 establishments certified by VietGAP, VietGAHP.

Representatives of participating units signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in agricultural product consumption.

At the meeting, under the witness of the leaders of the two units, representatives of production, business and consumption establishments of agricultural products agreed and signed a memorandum of understanding on the consumption of agricultural products of Lam Dong and some provinces in the Central Highlands to Ha Tinh; introducing and promoting products of the two provinces.

In addition, based on the coordination regulations, the parties will provide information on the market demand of the two provinces for agricultural, forestry and fishery products to select products and build raw material areas. At the same time , they will build and develop agricultural, forestry and fishery production areas, strictly manage the quality of products supplied to the markets of the two provinces to support product consumption and develop product markets.

In which, the products signed for consumption must ensure quality, clear origin and be controlled for food safety by state management agencies.
