Prime Minister recognizes Ky Anh town for completing the task of building new rural areas

(Baohatinh.vn) - On behalf of the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just signed Decision No. 1016/QD-TTg recognizing Ky Anh town (Ha Tinh) as completing the task of building new rural areas in 2024.

The Prime Minister assigned the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province to be responsible for announcing the decision and giving rewards according to regulations; directed the People's Committee of Ky Anh town to continue maintaining and improving the quality of criteria, focusing on planning and environmental criteria to ensure sustainability in new rural construction.

Ky Anh town is a southern urban area of ​​Ha Tinh province, established in 2015. Ky Anh town currently has 6 wards (Ky Lien, Ky Long, Ky Phuong, Ky Thinh, Ky Trinh and Hung Tri) and 5 communes (Ky Ninh, Ky Ha, Ky Hoa, Ky Nam, Ky Loi).

After more than 14 years of implementing the national target program on new rural construction, with the continuous efforts of Party committees and authorities at all levels, and the consensus and joint efforts of the people, Ky Anh town has achieved important results.

By December 31, 2024, 6/6 wards were recognized as meeting civilized urban standards; 4/4 communes were recognized as meeting new rural standards (Ky Nam, Ky Hoa, Ky Ha, Ky Ninh). Of which, Ky Ha and Ky Ninh communes were recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards; Ky Loi commune is located in Vung Ang Economic Zone, planned as industrial land, the province is implementing relocation, resettlement, and site clearance to implement investment projects in the area.

Average income per capita reached 62.02 million VND/person/year; the rate of trained workers reached 85.6%; the rate of rural households using clean water reached 100%.

The total mobilized budget for new rural construction from 2015 to June 2024 in Ky Anh town is 856,455 billion VND, of which 30,928 million VND is mobilized from the people.

Ky Anh town has no outstanding debt for basic construction in implementing the National Target Program on new rural construction.

The Central Office for New Rural Area Coordination (NTM) delegation led by Deputy Chief of Office Tran Nhat Lam surveyed and gave comments on the results of NTM construction in Ky Anh town (March 5, 2025).

Previously, on May 5, the Central Appraisal Council held a meeting to appraise and recognize Ky Anh Town as having completed the task of building a new rural area. At the meeting, 100% of the Council members highly appreciated and voted to submit to the Government a decision to recognize Ky Anh Town as having completed the task of building a new rural area in 2024.
