Examination, consultation and all costs from testing, to medical supplies, medicine, surgery are completely free. Surgery is performed according to standard procedures, using the most modern technology available today.
Doctor Hoang Hong graduated from Hanoi Medical University as a general practitioner and graduated from the Plastic Surgery Department of Hanoi Medical University.
After that, he had 4 years of training and completed the Fellowship program in Plastic Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School (USA).
Dr. Hong returned to Vietnam in 2017, worked at the Department of Plastic Surgery, Hanoi Medical University Hospital and was assigned to be in charge of the Department of Plastic Surgery from July 2018 to present.
Talking to reporters, Dr. Hoang Hong confided that during his time working at the Department of Plastic Surgery, Hanoi Medical University Hospital, he and his colleagues often received cases of complications due to cosmetic surgery at unprestigious facilities, even those that were not licensed to operate.
The most common of these are complications after rhinoplasty surgery, with complications such as infection, pus, contracture, scar contraction, and nasal deformity. There are many patients who are too young, only 16-17 years old, or even 15 years old.
There are some very pitiful young people. Because they are still immature and have not had much experience, when they see the “sweet” advertisements on social networks, they trust and choose to have surgery at unreliable facilities, where the surgeon only studied spa for a few months or studied nursing at intermediate or college level, or even has no connection to the medical field or the “amateur” doctor is not specialized in cosmetic plastic surgery.
“The complications left behind cause long-term damage to the patient’s quality of life. Many young people feel self-conscious and insecure because of their deformed faces, living in isolation and limiting social interaction,” Dr. Hong shared.
According to Dr. Hong, the time when new students enter university is also the time when the demand for cosmetic surgery increases, leading to an increase in cases of complications due to cosmetic surgery.
That's why he decided to organize a free surgery program for 30 new university students in 2024 who need rhinoplasty surgery.
Through the program, he hopes to help new students who want to beautify themselves but do not have enough money.
At the same time, raise awareness of the community, especially young people, about safe beauty, appropriate beauty and not abusing cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Hong hopes that through this program, he will somehow improve the understanding of young people, so that before choosing minor surgery, surgery, or cosmetic intervention, you should carefully research what surgery you want to have, where it will be done, and which doctor will do it for you.
According to Dr. Hong's advice, when people have beauty needs, they should go to reputable, licensed addresses, at reputable hospitals with cosmetic surgery departments, or cosmetic surgery clinics licensed by the Department of Health, Ministry of Health ; the person performing the interventions is a cosmetic surgery specialist to minimize and avoid unfortunate complications.
Doctor Hoang Hong also emphasized that cosmetic surgery consultation also requires finding experienced experts, who are specialists with specialized training certificates in cosmetic plastic surgery.
In fact, there are many cases where minors become self-conscious and self-conscious because of incorrect advice from unlicensed cosmetic facilities.
Many parents have come to us for advice because their children have become self-conscious and demand cosmetic surgery after receiving unscientific assessments of their appearance from unlicensed facilities or non-specialists in the field of cosmetic plastic surgery.
There are cases where people have psychological problems after listening to advice from people who are not doctors, or even have no medical expertise. This is a seemingly harmless problem, but it is necessary to have doctors and experts in the right field to give accurate advice.
“Cosmetic surgery consultation should also be performed by specialized and experienced doctors. You should not go to unreliable addresses that are not licensed to practice medicine,” said Dr. Hoang Hong.
The free rhinoplasty surgery program for 30 new students entering the school year 2024 is directly performed by Dr. Hoang Hong and his colleagues. The scope applies to new students entering the school year 2024-2025 at universities and colleges nationwide who need rhinoplasty surgery.
