Approval of ASEAN propaganda and promotion plan

Decision to assign the Department of Grassroots Information and External Information (the Center for International Press and Media Cooperation directly implements) to deploy the ASEAN propaganda and promotion plan.

The purpose of the Plan is to raise people's understanding of the ASEAN Community on the three pillars of "Politics - Security", "Economy", "Culture - Society", creating consensus, trust, and support of public opinion about ASEAN; marking the 30th anniversary (1995 - 2025) of Vietnam's official accession to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) - an important turning point in Vietnam's international integration process.

Issue the Work Plan for preparation and organization of the 8th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Sports and related meetings.

Promote communication about the achievements, results of ASEAN cooperation, policies and agreements that ASEAN has achieved internally and externally, the impacts as well as the effectiveness and benefits of ASEAN programs, policies and cooperation for each member country and for people and businesses.

Strengthening information about the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community; promoting solidarity among nations and mutual understanding among ASEAN countries to join hands in building a peaceful, stable, cooperative and developed ASEAN Community.

Raising awareness and management capacity of cadres, civil servants, public employees and people on implementing the goals of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community by 2025; mobilizing maximum resources to ensure effective implementation of the goal of building a cohesive Socio-Cultural Community and bringing benefits to the people.

At the same time, promote digital transformation in grassroots information work and foreign information, diversify forms of information and propaganda.

The plan includes:

Maintain and upgrade the "ASEAN Identity" photo and documentary film exhibition and organize the online "30 years of Vietnam's participation in ASEAN" thematic exhibition on the Vietnam.vn Foreign Affairs Portal

Maintain the content of the ASEAN Vietnam Portal 2025

Implement the Project to develop and deploy the Plan to implement the goals of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community by 2025 according to Decision No. 161/QD-TTg dated January 25, 2016 on the ASEAN Vietnam Information Portal.

Implementation period: 2025.
