The Shenzhou-20 crew, consisting of three astronauts currently aboard China's Tiangong Space Station, will conduct its first extravehicular activity (EVA) outside the space station in the coming days.
The China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) announced the above on May 21.
Since arriving at the Tiangong Space Station on April 25, the astronauts have completed a series of orbital tasks, including taking over the handover from the Shenzhou-19 crew, maintaining and repairing the space station, checking and testing the suits for EVA activities, and practicing medical emergency.
CMSA said all scientific experiments in space are proceeding as planned.
Currently, the Shenzhou-20 crew is in good health and the Tiangong space station is operating smoothly, ready for the upcoming spacewalk./.
