Technology supply-demand connection session between research institutes and businesses in Hai Phong

(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of May 30, the Department of Science and Technology of Hai Phong city organized a session connecting technology supply and demand between research institutions and businesses inside and outside the city.

Attending the networking session were Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology Nguyen Dinh Vinh; Dr. Nguyen Tran Dien - Deputy Head of the Technology Application and Deployment Department; Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Vu Giang - Deputy Director of the Institute of Materials Science, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. Also attending were representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches and units.

Speaking at the connection session, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology Nguyen Dinh Vinh emphasized: The technology supply-demand connection session is organized to strengthen the connection between research institutions and enterprises, contributing to the effective exploitation and application of scientific research results. This is also a practical activity to promote consulting, transfer, commercialization of technology and technical processes; at the same time, support and encourage enterprises in the city to invest in technological innovation, receive transfer, and proactively place research orders from institutes, schools, and scientific organizations. The Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology affirmed that the connection session is an opportunity for scientists to introduce technologies, inventions, and research products with high applicability; help businesses clarify practical needs and find suitable technology partners, thereby forming strategic, long-term, mutually beneficial cooperative relationships, contributing to building and developing the technology market, promoting innovation in Hai Phong city.

At the connection session, representatives of Institutes and Centers under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology introduced and shared many typical scientific and technological contents such as: advanced material manufacturing technology serving the railway, electricity and civil construction sectors; software solutions for digital transformation applications in business administration; smart technology supporting seaport operations and shipping services... The technology supply - demand connection session directly attracted the participation of 30 enterprises, with a 1 - 1 connection form, creating conditions for in-depth and effective exchanges between the technology supply and demand sides./.
