The 32nd SEA Games marks the first time Cambodia has hosted the Southeast Asian Games . As expected, the country will welcome more than 10,000 people, including athletes, coaches, and experts to attend the 2023 SEA Games.
At present, as the opening day of the 32nd SEA Games is approaching, all the streets in the capital Phnom Penh (Cambodia) are decorated with large banners to serve the media work to celebrate the country's special sports festival.
The road leading to Wat Phnom (Phnom Penh) becomes special with the vibrant colors of flags and flowers printed with the logo and mascot of SEA Games 32.
Both sides of the road are decorated with a series of propaganda billboards for the 32nd SEA Games.
The mascots are two rabbits Rumduol and Borey symbolizing intelligence, agility, and integrity, and are placed in many locations on the streets of Phnom Penh.
The 32nd SEA Games and 2023 Para Games will be held under the motto "Sport: Living in Peace ".
Cambodia said it will host 40 sports, the same number as in the 31st SEA Games. The capital Phnom Penh and four other provinces, Siem Reap, Preah Sihanouk, Kep and Kampot, will be the five venues for the 32nd SEA Games.
SEA Games 32 propaganda billboards are also densely arranged on highways leading to the competition areas.
The road leading to the Morodok complex is decorated with many flags and signs so that locals and tourists can follow the competition held here.
To prepare for the first SEA Games, Cambodia has spent over 100 million USD to build and renovate technical facilities for the competition over the past several years. This budget does not include the key project of building the Morodok Techo National Stadium and many items in the large-scale sports complex on the outskirts of the capital Phnom Penh.
The streets of the capital Phnom Penh at night become more sparkling than ever as the 32nd SEA Games is approaching.
Many large screens are set up in the squares to serve the sports viewing needs of the people at this SEA Games.
