On this occasion, Vice President, First Vice President of the Central Emulation and Reward Council Vo Thi Anh Xuan awarded the First Class Labor Medal to the Party Committee, government and people of Bac Kan province; presented the Party Committee, government and people of the province with a portrait of President Ho Chi Minh. This is a noble reward of the Party and State for the outstanding achievements in socio -economic development, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland of the Party Committee, government and people of Bac Kan province.

Reviewing the path of formation and development, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Bac Kan province Hoang Duy Chinh affirmed that with a 125-year history and an increasingly solid political and social position, Bac Kan is proud to continue on the path of innovation following the Party's direction. The Party Committee, government, army and people of all ethnic groups in the province will continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, patriotism, respect and preserve the achievements that previous generations have worked hard to build. With the spirit of solidarity and unity, Bac Kan is determined to overcome difficulties and challenges, successfully implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 12th Provincial Party Congress. The whole province is working towards the goal of rapid and sustainable development, creating a solid foundation with the whole country to enter a new era - the era of national development.

125 years ago, on April 11, 1900, the Governor-General of Indochina issued a Decree to separate a part of Thai Nguyen province to establish Bac Kan province. During the resistance war against French colonialism, Bac Kan province was chosen by the Party Central Committee to build a safe zone (ATK). As a revolutionary base, Bac Kan made every effort to protect the leaders, protect the Party and State leadership agencies; wholeheartedly sheltered, sheltered, and helped the Central army, agencies, enterprises, and warehouses to evacuate...

On April 21, 1965, the National Assembly Standing Committee decided to establish Bac Thai province on the basis of merging Thai Nguyen and Bac Kan provinces. During the resistance war against the US to save the country, with the slogan "All for the beloved South", the Party Committee, army and people of Bac Thai continued to boost production, uphold the spirit of combat readiness, support the great frontline in the South, contributing with the army and people of the whole country to win the historic victory in the spring of 1975.

To promote the province's potential and strengths in socio-economic development and meet the people's aspirations, the 10th Session of the 9th National Assembly issued a Resolution to divide and adjust the administrative boundaries of a number of provinces. Accordingly, Bac Thai province was divided into two provinces, Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen; at the same time, the two districts of Ngan Son and Ba Be of Cao Bang province were transferred back to Bac Kan province.

As one of the most difficult provinces in the country at the time of re-establishment, but with the attention of the Party, the State, the ministries, departments and central branches, together with the spirit of solidarity and unceasing efforts of the Party Committee, the government and the people of all ethnic groups in the province, Bac Kan quickly stabilized the organization, implemented specific solutions for socio-economic development. Bac Kan has risen strongly, affirming its determination to build its homeland to develop more and more, firmly on the path of innovation. The province's socio-economy has made a breakthrough. The average GRDP growth rate in the period of 1997-2024 reached 7.6%/year. After 28 years of re-establishment, the scale of the province's economy increased nearly 52 times; per capita income increased nearly 45 times; budget revenue increased 57 times.

In recognition and praise of the outstanding achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Bac Kan province, the Party and State have awarded many noble awards such as: Hero of the People's Armed Forces (2000), First Class Independence Medal (2016), First Class Labor Medal (2006)...

Continuing the achievements and results, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Bac Kan province are continuing to promote the spirit of solidarity, turning difficulties into motivation, aspirations into beliefs, turning advantages and opportunities into strength to firmly step on the path of development.
