In the coming time, WVI will continue to complete the remaining activities of the 2025 fiscal year and develop a plan for the 2026-2027 period, focusing on establishing Management Boards in new communes after the merger, closely coordinating with localities to develop practical plans, and mobilizing additional resources for community initiatives.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh was very pleased to welcome the delegation of World Vision to work and discuss contents related to the implementation of programs and projects in the province in the period of 2025-2027. Lam Dong is a new locality established on the basis of merging the three old provinces of Dak Nong, Binh Thuan and Lam Dong according to the decision of the Prime Minister.
With a natural area of over 24,000 km², Lam Dong is currently the largest province in the country, converging diverse terrain elements from plateaus, midlands to coasts. These are the "heavenly time, geographical advantage, and human harmony" conditions for Lam Dong to become a new growth pole, especially in areas such as tourism, high-tech agriculture, mineral exploitation and processing... based on the available advantages of each region.

One of Lam Dong's outstanding strengths is its rich mineral resources, especially bauxite and titanium with the largest reserves in the country. Along with that, tourism and high-tech agriculture are also two key areas. The locality owns many famous scenic spots such as Da Lat, Ta Dung, Mui Ne, La Gi, and also has Lang Biang Biosphere Reserve and Dak Nong Global Geopark recognized by UNESCO. Lam Dong tourism is increasingly attractive when converging all the factors of "high mountains, large lakes, blue seas, beautiful islands", with many opportunities to become a major tourist center of the region and the world.

Lam Dong province will create favorable conditions for the projects to continue to be implemented and promoted effectively, contributing to ensuring social security and sustainable development for the locality in the new period.

Comrade Nguyen Minh emphasized

Comrade Nguyen Minh emphasized that WVI has been implementing 4 programs and projects in the locality, of which 3 projects have been completed in the old Binh Thuan area and 1 project is being implemented in the old Dak Nong. Lam Dong province highly appreciates and acknowledges the active support of World Vision Vietnam to the locality in improving and enhancing the quality of life of the people and protecting children in especially difficult circumstances.

Continuing to implement the project in the province is necessary and in accordance with the Cooperation Agreement for the period 2022-2027 signed on September 9, 2022, between the People's Committee of Dak Nong province (old) and World Vision Vietnam, with a total aid budget of 2,450,000 USD. This project has initially made positive contributions to child welfare as well as improving the livelihoods of local people through communication activities, building facilities, and rural agricultural development models. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned relevant departments, branches, and commune People's Committees to coordinate with WVI to deploy the work and update the minutes of agreement signed between the two parties to suit the actual situation.
