Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has just signed Official Dispatch No. 27/CD-TTg dated April 2, 2025 regarding the house fire at 66B and 66C Mac Van Street, Xom Cui Ward, District 8, Ho Chi Minh City.

Telegram sent to the Minister of Public Security ; Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities, stating:

At about 02:20 on April 2, 2025, a house fire broke out at 66B and 66C Mac Van Street, Xom Cui Ward, District 8, Ho Chi Minh City, causing serious consequences, killing 03 people in a family. On behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh sent his condolences to the relatives and families of the victims and gave the following instructions:

1. The People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City directs the organization of thoughtful visits, timely encouragement, material and spiritual support, and creation of the best conditions to help stabilize the housing and life of the victims' families; closely coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security to direct functional forces to focus on overcoming the consequences, promptly investigate the cause of the fire, and strictly handle violations (if any) according to the provisions of law.

2. The Minister of Public Security, Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities, especially large cities, continue to strictly implement the Prime Minister's instructions, especially Directive No. 01/CT-TTg dated January 3, 2023 on strengthening fire prevention and fighting in the new situation. Improve the effectiveness of propaganda work, guidance on knowledge and skills on fire prevention, fighting, rescue, and fire and explosion safety conditions for people and establishments at high risk of fire and explosion in the area; proactively develop plans to ensure fire and explosion safety, especially during the upcoming Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, April 30 Victory Day, and May 1 International Labor Day./.
