It was Harris’s biggest campaign since she consolidated her support within the Democratic Party and after President Joe Biden announced he was ending his re-election bid on July 21 and endorsed his running mate. Vice President Harris has also unleashed a new energy among younger voters.
According to Deadline , the ads will be aired on television as well as online and social media channels in battleground states in the weeks before the US Democratic National Convention begins on August 19.
The highlight will be a one-minute video titled “Fearless.”
The first ad in the campaign opens with an image of Ms. Harris as a child, then as a prosecutor, state attorney general and vice president.
Polls over the past week have shown Ms. Harris closing the gap with her rival Donald Trump, but the former president and Republican candidate still holds a lead in some national surveys.
According to a Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll released the same day, US Vice President Kamala Harris has gained an advantage over Republican Donald Trump in four out of seven battleground states since Mr. Biden suspended his campaign.
The poll, conducted online from July 24-28, showed Ms Harris leading Mr Trump in Michigan by 11 percentage points, while it was 2 percentage points in Arizona, Wisconsin and Nevada.
Mr. Trump leads his opponent in Pennsylvania by 4 percentage points and in North Carolina by 2 points. In Georgia, the two sides receive equal support.
Wisconsin is the only state among the seven where Mr. Trump has narrowed the gap with Ms. Harris.
The poll has a margin of error of 3 percentage points in Arizona, Georgia and Pennsylvania; 4 percentage points in Michigan, North Carolina and Wisconsin; and 5 percentage points in Nevada.
Concerned about Harris’s rapid rise, Trump’s campaign announced on July 29 that it would spend $10 million on advertising, the former president’s biggest advertising campaign since January.
